Want to quote Mark Twain? A bumper sticker? Something in between? Here's the place... I'll get things started -
Once in a century a man may be ruined or made insufferable by praise. But surely one a minute, something generous dies for want of it. -John Masefield

The Democrats are the party that says government will make you smarter, taller, richer, and remove the crabgrass on your lawn. The Republicans are the party that says government doesn't work and then they get elected and prove it. P.J. O'Rourke

This is a re-run but I like it so I'll post it again.

ANother one from P.J. (sorry, but he cracks me up):
“French ideas, French beliefs, and French actions form a sort of lodestone for humanity. A moral compass needle needs a butt end. Wherever direction France is pointing—toward collaboration with Nazis, accommodation with communists, existentialism, Jerry Lewis, or a UN resolution veto—we can go the other way with a quiet conscience.”

"It isn't pollution that's harming the environment. It's the impurities in our air and water that are doing it." Governor George W. Bush Hey, I'm showing up everywhere ;D Mike, that quote has been around for a long time (originally attributed to Dan Quayle and possibly Reagan before that). It's funny, but I'm not sure who (if anyone) actually said it. Not trying to nit pick, just sayin'. Therefore, I submit the following: "Give me a woman that truly loves beer and I will conquer the world" -- Kaiser Wilhem and "Most people don't like the taste of beer at first; but it is a predjudice they are willing to overcome" -- Winston Churchill (may not be exactly correct. It's on a t shirt that is in the wash) Bill L

Quayle, Reagan, Bush...who's counting?
That's funny...I saw the aformentioned quote on a t-shirt here in Texas and that's the extent of my research. But I saw this one with my own eyes & ears along with anybody else that saw "F-911".
"Fool me once..and...uh...and uh...well you won't fool me again!" President George W. Bush (if he only had Nancy Reagan there to whisper in his ear ;D)

Ok Bill, don't get us started!!
Sometimes when I reflect on all the beer I drink, I feel ashamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. I think, "It is better to drink this beer and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver."
Babe Ruth
