My son Ben had his spring break last week. Taking him back to Minneapolis on Sunday, we were listening to Minnesota Public Radio and I picked up on a couple of interesting bands they were airing. So I bought a couple of CDs yesterday... Gogol Bordello "Gypsy Punks - Underdog World Strike", and The Hold Steady "Separation Sunday". Except for the song "Underdog World Strike", which is very good, the rest of Gogol Bordello's album gets a bit monotonous. I would recommend picking up The Hold Steady's CD however. Good music throughout the CD and I particularly enjoyed "Charlemagne has Something in Her Sweatpants". If you're curious about either CD, just go to cdnow.com and listen in to samples of the various songs. - FWIW
