I'd still go see JT live ... once. it was Taylor that I went to see Summer '97 along with Feat, for the first time since '77 or '76 ... Taylor I've still only seen live that once, but Feat, well ...

Tonight:
"The Very Best Of" Michael Johnson remember the "Bluer than Blue" guy.."Almost Like Being in Love"? Anyway, it's pretty smooth with some nice sax and Johnson has always been one of my favorite vocalist.
With a chaser of CS&N Greatest Hit's. Again with the "greatest hits"!
Then the aforementioned JT "Mexico"
And "Thanks I'll Eat it Here".

Scott,
I like them guys from KPIG. I don't know if you remember but some time ago I was advocating an e-mail campaign to educate the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to the fact that not including the "Feat" illustrates that they have no taste or understanding of Rock and Roll.

This is getting confusing. The Stones played Dallas last night. I didn't make it , but I had understood Los Lonely Boys were going to be the warm up show. But apparently it was...Merle Haggard? Merle got sick and it ended up being good ole dependable home boy Delbert McClinton at the last minute. In Texas we were some of the first to merge country with rock & roll with the "Cosmic Cowboys" thing in the '70s but...Merle Haggard and The Stones? I think they might be smokin mota in Muskogee now. ;D

A Little inside Rumour: Saw The Meters last Friday night in NYC: A certain member of the crew told me that its in the works for The Meters to be opening for 11 or 12 Stones shows in '06. Just a Rumour, please don't shoot the messenger.

Dan Aykroyd featured Susan Tedesci on House of Blues radio hour this morning. Songs from her new album were featured. I was catching bits and pieces of the show, but from what I was hearing the album sounds like it's worth checking out. -

Susan Tedeski is always a safe bet. "Just Won't Burn" does. Oh yeah, pre super bowl music..."Exile on Main Street".

Mike - I was going to pick up a copy of Delbert McClinton's 2-CD live album you mentioned a while back. I stopped by Best Buy over my lunch hour and was surprised to see that they did not have it available. I'll be checking elsewhere for it. Meanwhile, I have been listening to the John Mayall 70th birthday concert (another 2-CD live recording). Lots of notable guests, and a lot of good blues music. -

I HIGHLY recommend Mayall's "Wake Up Call". Guest with Mick Taylor, and regular lead...Coco Montoya. Coco did a few records with Mayall in the early '90"s before moving on...like Lowell. Good drummer in JJ Yeley too. As my Dad used to say, that reminds me of a story ;D. Once years ago, we were at "Fatso's" in Arlington having drinks and waiting for the Mayall show. With a couple of friends running late we had the last 2 seats in the place. This big Mexican fella and his friend came by and asked if they could sit for a while. Nice guys; we talked about Southern California, Little Feat, ect. Eventually some guy came out and told them it was time to get ready . Only then did we realize we had been sitting with the geetar player and drummer that along with Mayall, soon blew our minds. My favorite category of music is Mayall's style of greasy blues rock! See: "Wake Up Call" or "A Sense of Place". Actually I wasn't that much of a fan til the "90's when he added a little more horsepower and drive to his style.
