I wonder if she'll still be hanging around when Bode's claim to fame is that he is the manager of the local ski rental shop? ;D

Bode shot a number of "Bodeist" commercials prior to the Olympics to be aired during the Olympics. Anybody who watched any of the events surely saw some of them. As the two weeks of the Olympics progressed and it became apparent that Bode was not coming home with any hardware, the ads began to focus mostly on the spot where he talks about "the best athlete, sometimes due to fate and the nature of sports, does not always walk away with the top prize." The ad, of course, is spin. The sponsor of the ad is trying to save face for having this guy attached to their product, and they're trying to make Bode look and sound prophetic. But as we begin to learn how Bode spends his time away from the slopes, he really comes off as simply looking unfocused. Maybe I sound overly critical of Bode (actually I don't really care what Bode does with his personal time). But if you've made it to the Olympics and this is your one chance to shine, you might think you could put the pursuit of sex and booze away for just 2 weeks... wouldn't you - Later

He's an idiot (IMO).

That's a good point as well Mike... one that I was thinking of when Julia Mancuso was taking her Alpine runs (it was Alpine I think), with that tiara attached to her helmet. I thought to myself that if after your corporate sponsors and your country have put this type of investment in you, you could at least put forth the appearance of taking all of this somewhat seriously. To come down that slope with that tiara and then giggle like a little girl when you're in seventh or eighth place (or whatever she was)... well, it just wouldn't have sat well with me if I was the head of the company that had paid for her to be in the position she was. And I thought to myself, if you're going to do that kind of stuff then you'd better have some hardware around your neck at day's end. And the difference between Mancuso and Bode is that by the end of the Olympics she was wearing Olympic gold. And then I conceded that now she could wear that tiara and giggle all she wants. -

Uh oh!!! Dallas released Keyshawn Johnson today and TO was also "officially" released today. This could get interesting. Cowboys release Keyshawn Johnson
IRVING — Keyshawn Johnson is out.
Does that mean Terrell Owens is on his way in?
By giving Johnson his release Tuesday, the Cowboys avoided paying the 10-year veteran receiver a $1 million roster bonus to guarantee his contract for 2006.
They avoided a contract dispute with Johnson, who was seeking a contract extension and a raise from his 2006 salary of $2.5 million.
And with the move, the Cowboys increased speculation they will try to sign Owens, a controversial yet talented receiver who was released by the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday.
“Keyshawn is one of a handful of the top competitors that have ever played for the Dallas Cowboys,” Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said in a statement

Well...it's a done deal! Now instead of dancing on the Cowboys Star, TO will be wearing one. Jeeesh, I want my vote back for the new stadium! Oh well, I figure if anyone can straighten this goofball out it would be Purcells. Straighten him out, or knock him out!
