Oh no....politics! At least you have to go out of your way here and it's not forced on us like on HoyHoy. I think Bush is going to be tough to beat. He's got money and the people in place to get it done. Kerry has his voting record and his past to worry about. Not to mention that he's no where near as personable as Clinton or Bush (or even Al Gore, for that matter) and is so liberal he makes Gore seem like a centrist.

"Come senators, congressmen Please heed the call Don't stand in the doorway Don't block up the hall For he that gets hurt Will be he who has stalled There's a battle outside And it is ragin'. It'll soon shake your windows And rattle your walls For the times they are a-changin'."

Regime change 2004 ! Kerry ain't perfect, but we need change now before the entire world hates the U.S. (oh, it's already too late?) Vote for Peace in our time and a return to fiscal reality & responsibility. Tell the corporate fat cats that "we the people" are in charge.
"Friends don't let friends vote for Bush"
bob from inside the beltway
ps. feat likely to be invited to play at Democratic Convention (I've seen them at Democratic Congressional Committee fundraiser & a Clinton inaugural event!)

>>I think Bush is going to be tough to beat. <<
Maybe not. I believe that Bush is vulnerable on a number of points, including:
- Jobs. - The largest budget deficit EVER! - The environment. - The weak reasons for engaging in the Iraq war, combined with the fact that there is no end in sight. - The questionable National Guard service of GWB. - The connections to companies and individuals involved in major corporate scandals, Enron being an example. - The overall preference of the Bush administration to favor the interests of big business, the wealthy, and especially his cronies.
Here's one way to look at the likely outcome. Since the vote in the last election was very close to a fifty-fifty split, let's just consider who is likely to change their vote from last time because all the rest cancel each other out.
That is, how many people that voted for Gore will vote for Bush this time? I say next to none.
On the other side, how many people that voted for Bush will go the other way? I say there is plenty of disillusionment among the Bush voters from the last election. I have heard many people, including some of those previous Bush voters say "ANYBODY but Bush!'.
It's time to vote Big Oil out of the White House!

I'm still trying to figure out he (they) took the #1 Burning Issue among Americans, 9-11 & Osama, and have pretty much hidden it from site within a year. I guess REAL security from REAL terrorist threatening the USA doesn't benefit Dubya & The Stuffs to their approval. Imagine this.....Abby Hoffman debating Dubya! ;D

some facts to chew on, of which you may not be aware: According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics data.bls.gov/cgi-bin/surveymost?bls, the unemployment rate has declined unbroken in the nine months since – 6.3 percent at its high to its present day 5.6 percent. Over the last six months, more than 345,000 jobs have been created. Since May of 2003, according to the BLS, more than 1,075,000 jobs have been created. Economist Larry Kudlow noted this week that since January of 2002, more than 1.8 million people have gone back to work. There are more people employed now than when President Bush came into office. The BLS numbers show that when President Clinton left office, 137.6 million people were working. Even though the Clinton economy was headed into a recession that 137.6 number was an all-time high. The same table at the BLS shows that under Bush, 138.3 million people are working. And unlike the Clinton economy, this job growth was being built on real products and services – it is the "dot-com anti-bubble," so to speak. So, if the "magic number" of 2.3 million jobs were lost in Bush's first three years, then based on the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Bush's tax cuts have created unparalleled job growth. President Bush can't have expanded the overall number of people working without having a net jobs gain of between 900,000 to 1,000,000. That means the economy, once stimulated by the tax cuts, has grown close to 3.2 million jobs all total.

I'll quote Fred from the Relix diary: "we were not a band that collected police badges, guns or belonged to the Republican Party, but we're just hippies looking to have a good time. We had a good time". I guess I'm with Fred. Peace brotha.....
