Q; How do you know when you've had a great time at a Little Feat show? When you get up the next day and it's some sort of a "blissful blurr" and you're really wanting to find that "rewind" button. And there were members of the band looking at your brakelight and asking..."how bad have you got it?" I got one picture of the stage...only it was before the show and it was dark, with no one on it. Once the show starts, I'm no longer a picture person. Too busy listnin!

The Granada was everything Mike P said it was....and a [glow=red,2,300]great [/glow] place to see the feat. the center of the theatre downstairs is slightly sloping and devoid of chairs, and the sides have tables or counters and chairs . there are a couple of other levels (balcony and a mezzanine) and food and a couple of bars. at one point i found myself in the first row, during Willin and Long Black Veil, and the energy of the young crowd coming to the front pushed me to the center...they were standing, dancing, pumping it up -spectacular! i'm a little more used to my peers, and this was way younger and very exciting! there were all kinds of new fans in dallas....which gives me hope for the future of the metroplex (me-ow!) then there was the lady whose tears coursed down her cheek during Willlin, and I remember hearing it and crying a few years ago...a sacred moment remembering Lowell's singing it. Truly though, this show had so much energy to it, I had some of the most fun i have ever had at a feat show. the jams were tight and alllllllriiiiight- fabulous to watch the interplay between band members! do i need to mention the greyhounds warming up, or SBruton's masterful warmup set (whew, hearing Spirit World live thrills me,) or his fine rollicking new songs with feat behind him? thanks to the Granada Theatre for the welcome they gave my favorite band. the granada has Monte Montgomery , Charlie Sexton, Reckless Kelly and other great bands booked for the rest of the year. i would be happy to see another act there...in fact, i think this venue should be moved to Houston as a gesture of friendship, so feat can play in Houston before 4 more years pass!
Kudos to Mustang Mike for his first time POC, getting the posters out, helping whenever he could, and for putting up the austin POC and the rambling RC, in more ways than one!

Well come on! You know the best place to stay. We're all about sharin and carin but...Houston caaaan't have it! They're welcome here anytime tho, and I sure would like to go Houston for a show! Coco and The Meters in SF is not a bad consolation.
