How is my car Feat related you ask.... nice ride ... in keeping with the theme, here's my automotive Feat-ure ... for safety's sake, you don't have to be nearly as close to see it, although maybe it's far less likely someone will be close to your tail than mine <g>

Funny how these things work out eh? Well alright!!! Rollin, I'm sending you a PM with my cell phone # and directions from Garland to the theater. Now we just need to get the Twins up here. It'll be Friday, and I don't think they sleep anyway.

Well Christmas is coming early to Dallas.
Little Feat on 11/18/05 is just about here. Hope you've got your tickets, but there are some left.
The show starts at 8pm with The Greyhounds, Next at 9 is Fort Worth's own Stephen Bruton. You might even want to run out and pick up his newest..."From The Five". You won't regret it.
From there it will blend into Little Feat, and if it's anything like it was last time at The Granada, this show will go til it can't go no mo. Satisfaction guaranteed!!!
BTW-sandyg from OKC I have made many attempts to respond to you and it keeps bouncin back. 2 main things I wanted to tell you are, "Snuffer's" is just next door and we hope to get a bunch together there. And...I would take Hwy 380 East from Denton over to I-75 in McKinney to avoid the traffic in N. Dallas. Take I-75 South into Dallas to Mockingbird Lane. Exit at Mockingbird and take a left on it for a few blocks to Greenville Ave. Take a right on Greenville and go several blocks and The Granada will be on your left. Large sign. Parking is in back. $3. Be safe.
Hoy-Hoy Everybody!!!

Wow...I've been trapped in the Texas Outback with no computer hookup. Jeeez, how did we make it for so many yrs without a laptop??? ;D Snuffer's & Tailgatin? I have been remiss in reserving space at Snuffer's but it's pretty big. I'm going to call tomorrow and at least get a large table. Indoor and outdoor seating and with some interest we can "move in". From around 5pm on would be a good time to start. From there it's a 10 foot crawl to the door of the theater. Tailgating is when MG shows up! Well...we might have to warm up a bit before the Tailgatin but it won't officially start til we see The Texpedition. It is a very handy parking lot just behind the theater. Everybody is parked in that vicinity. I've got the cactus juice, but my jiggers have got some miles on em. New attractive shot glasses would be nice...MG.

Irony is defined (in my case) by: Lyle, John Hiatt, Guy Clark and Joe Ely playing in Toronto on Thursday night. Providing me with a genuine Texas experience in the frozen home town, while if'n they wasn't here, I would've probably joined y'all for the Texas shows. Big Hoys to Clara and Terry and Bill and MG. I'll be thinking of you.

Snuffer's does not take reservations, but he is holding a "back room" for us. Where else would a bunch of FeatFans belong? ;D Should be no problem. And again...The Granada has good food and cold beer. $8 pitchers of beer and dig this... You can order the "Dixie Chicken" from their menu which consist of: tender chicken breast with lime, cheese, cilantro, and sauteed veggies. It is a permanent dish they offer, as is the Jimmy Buffett, Spicey Santana, Phish, Los Lobos (pulled pork tacos...mmmmm!), Grateful Dead, ect ect. Also as Gringo alluded to, there are restaurants and bars, such as "Aw Shucks" all around the theater, so you have plenty of choices. For myself tho...anyone that has Dixie Chicken on their menu will get my money. This may be a traveling meet & greet, but it's a short distance in any direction! See for yourself: www.granadatheater.com

(A Repeat) I'm convinced that if this group had a drummer that could keep time, and a road manager that was organized they would have a bright future. ;D JUST KIDDING IN THE MOST RIDICULOUS WAY...OF COURSE!!! This is a whole traveling group of Giants! I'm always in awe, yet they're regular nice and genuine folks. We discussed it this morning, and if we can talk the band into it we'd like to do this once a month at least. Hey, if we can run Kinky for Governor we can wish for anything. Every time I see the Feat, since '73 they're a little tighter when I thought in the '70's that couldn't be done. The next level is never a task for these guys! I guess the main word I would use for last nights show would be...FUN!!! I regret that I didn't get a count, but the place was bulging. With a sea of heads bobbing, butts rocking, and of course the uncontrollable snake necking...all together. Amazing! I think we did well at the merch table before we starting running out of "Feat Stuff" right at the end. Denny can inventory! Everybody's voices were right on. The sound was perfectly (to my ears anyway) mixed. The Granada is a great place for sound, sight, and seats. And of course the groove was groovy. Man was it groovy! Lot's of young folks in the crowd asking "how soon will they be back?" After having an excellent acoustic set of his own, Stephen Bruton came back out with Feat for a couple of songs with a blistering "Bigger Wheel". What a guy! Course he's a local... And we're damn proud of him round these parts. The Greyhounds sounded great, and Fred came out with his trumpet for a couple of tunes. Yep..after seeing special guests MG, Rollin, Dancing Tonya and others off to airports and such, it's kinda like Christmas afternoon...man this is sweet aftermath, but somebody hit "rewind" and let's do it again.

Q; How do you know when you've had a great time at a Little Feat show?
A: Your feet swell from trying to keep up with Shaun's Cajun Girl dance, your ankles and legs ache from gyrating during "Oh Atlanta", and your mind makes a promise that your body can't fill during the guest artist's set ( i meant to say "old folks boogie")... yeah, and snake necking becomes a group activity.
....and when you come home with pictures of the featfamilyat the merch table!
