Dennis, thank you so much for all the time and effort you have put into this. How about you POC and I'll co-POC. Everything certainly seems to be falling into place and that's no accident!!!
Sounds like your latest place (Dino's) is the place to be. I'll be there with bells on.
Rick, if you hear anything about merch. arrival time, please let us know asap.
Anyone who will be there on Friday, be sure to catch Coco Montoya. He sure helped rock the house in Jamaica.

kathy,
the itinerary has all times listed as TBA. I'll talk to Denny after they get the rush of CO shows over to get times. I think I remember talk about the festival doing merch sales, but I could be wrong. The only firm time that's listed is Little Feat at 20:30 till 22:00.
Coco is the reason that we're heading over Fri. His set is not to be missed, if you're into great music.
Rick

Feat at Vinoy Park: how to get there from ...... there
St Pete is an easy city to navigate, as all the streets and avenues are numbered and layed out in a very orderly fashion. You do run into one way streets here and there, but due to the way the city planners layed out the numbers working your way around a a one-way street is easy.
Basically and in a nutshell: avenues run East and West, and streets run North and South. Vinoy Park is at the Eastern end of 5th Ave North, so it's five blocks North of Central Avenue, at the East end. So just about anywhere you land in St Pete, just note the numbers of the street and avenue at the nearest intersection of numbered streets and avenues, and work your way to the East end of 5th Ave North from wherever you are.
The streets are numbered from Tampa bay to the West, so the Eastern-most numbered street is 1st Street, then moving away from the waters of Tampa Bay to the West you cross 2nd Street, 3rd Street, 4th Street, and so on and so forth. There are two named streets East of 1st Street, Beach Drive and Bayshore Drive, but those surround Vinoy Park, so if you are traveling East on 5th Ave to the end of 5th Ave, by the time you cross Beach or Bayshore you're at Vinoy Park. So basically, to get to the Park, the intersection you're shooting for is 5th Ave North and 1st Street North.
Travelling North or South on any street, as you cross Central Ave, the street name changes from North to South, i.e. travelling North on 2nd Street you will be on 2nd Street South until you cross Central Ave, then you are on 2nd Street North.
Dino's is at the corner of Central Avenue and 2nd Street. There is a parking lot directly across the street from Dino's and this lot would be about a seven block walk up the waterfront from the Vinoy Park venue. You'll also find parking at 2nd Street North and 1st Ave North as well as 1st Street North and 3rd Ave North. The parking at 1st and 3rd would be between Dino's and Vinoy Park. There will also be some parking at the Park, but it may not be wise to rely on that as it's limited, costly, and many people will be there for the earlier shows and I would expect that parking to fill up.
To get into St Pete from just about anywhere, travel on I-275. There is a 5th Ave North exit from I-275, there is also an exit for I-375 and I-175. Any of these will do the same thing to you: take you downtown where you can start to rely on the above directions to find your way around town. I personally like to take an even earlier exit, 22nd Ave North, and then travel East on 22nd Ave to about 9th Street which is also Martin Luther King Blvd. I turn right to travel South on 9th Street, and I would take it down to 5th Ave N or 3rd Ave N and then turn left to travel East over to 1st Street North to find some parking.
Confused? Forget it, this is easy: Streets go North and South, Avenues go East and West, come into town on I-275 and take any exit for downtown and find your way to 5th Ave N and 1st Street N for the park. Then work your way over to Central Ave and 2nd Street and meet us at Dino's around 2:00PM. You'll be fine.
See you all at the show.

One other note: there is shuttle bus service traveling up 1st Street from parking lots to go to Vinoy Park, so getting to the Park from where we intend to meet will be pretty easy!

Dennis, are we will planning on 2:00? Also, I know not everyone going to Tampa will go to this site, so it may be a good idea to post once on the hhd for all to see.

Thru a screw-up in my friend Nancy's ticket order, she ended up with a bunch of extra tickets for Friday night, she's willing to sell them to any Feat Fans for half face value. If you haven't already bought them and are going Friday night to catch Coco, e-mail her back at baltocrab@yahoo.com by noon tomorrow. They're $25 at the gate. She just needs to recoup some mailing costs and processing fees.
Safe travels everyone. See you Sunday at Dino's!

Well I sure had fun. Let me rephrase that: I had an absolute blast!
Thanks Denny, Rick, Kathy and all others that made my first POC experience less traumatic than I was building it up to be....the Blues Fest was great, and as usual Little Feat put all other performers to shame!
Ft Myers here we come!

I'll sure second that. I'm working on a set list. There's one song that I don't think I've ever heard before. When I find out, I'll post the set list.
We kicked bu*t at the merch table I think. Denny carried away everthing in one half empty box.
As always, I feel so much better after a feat fix.
Dennis, thank you so much. You are now an official POC and I look forward to seeing you in Ft. Myers. Kat
