Little Feat returns to St Pete, for the Tampa Bay Blues Festival in March of 2005. The Vinoy WaterFront Park venue is a great, intimate, and easy to get to park that will be a great experience. Some info on the Blues Fest:

I love Vinoy! The first show I went to was back in '92 or '93 and Richie was playing with I can't remember who...Neal Schon from Journey/Santana was on guitar.

Hoy All!

Since the only Canadian date is a private gig (and is a long way from Ontario), this may be where I'll surface this year! I do have friends in the area, and it's very near my b-day. I'll keep my eyes peeled for any pre, post, or whatever get-togethers! Get 'em posted....pleeze! ;D

Counting down the days to St. Pete. I've seen several Janus Landing shows but this will be the first at this venue and I'm gettin' pretty excited.

Being a festival venue, I'm not sure what to do about preorpost activities, but if nothing shows up here, just check out the merchandise area and you'll find me and my new POC bud Dennis. At that point, if I read Darcy's last digest post correctly, we will give you a zillion coupons to give to folks, so they can take advantage of special FEAT STUFF purchaces on the web page!

OK I think I have it down now. We will not give you zillions of coupons to carpet the venue. BUT, we will be giving them out at the merch. table for those that buy or are really interested and have already spent all their money ;D

Sounds like there will be a lot of FL regulars and out of staters as well! This is going to be so much fun.

This is a festival venue, so a preshow seems unlikely to me. Dennis, if you know of someplace outside the venue that would be good for folks to meet, let us know. I think you can leave and reenter with a hand stamp) When we find out what time Mr. Jones will arrive with the merch., we will know when we need to be where. I'm pretty much concentrating on the merchanise table so you all are in charge of the party.

I will definately be there early Sunday a.m. I may come over Saturday if we can find someone to keep the grandbaby.

I've checked out a few hotels on the internet. I was hoping the Vinoy Hotel would be an option, but with a $300+ price tag, I think I'll widen the search area.

Look forward to seeing everyone. Let's try to get the info flowing on this site. That way as soon as a new idea pops up, we will all know about it.

Inaheart - when I open this thread, at the top of the page are links for St Pete hotels. Trip Advisor takes you to a list of many of the typical search engines (Expedia, Travelocity, etc), but there are also "Smart Deals" along the right column, including one titled "Discount hotels in St. Pete".

Dennis, Kat - maybe we can all meet up for early lunch or dinner Sunday since the band's flying in and won't be on stage til 8:30 (you should have load-in info by now, no?). Personally, I'm planning to be at the Fest all 3 days, but Sunday, Feat are the only act that I'm coming for (leaving the chairs in the car - snake neckers don't need no stinking chairs!). So meeting outside the park for some fresh local grub and cool beverages any time before they hit the stage would be ideal. Should I ask my friend Nancy in Tampa to scope some places out this weekend?

Need a little help. Our 1st time to St. Pete & the fest. I thought it was outside or some such central location. Is Feat performing at the Vinoy resort or a central place?
Also could use some help from locals re directions & such. Ray from Florida

Last I heard load in was TBA. Hopefully that info is coming shortly. Anyone who is familiar with the area, I would sure welcome your input. Lunch or dinner sounds like a great idea. The only St. Pete venue I have attended is Janus Landing.

Those planning to attend, please rsvp to this bb. We need to know who is coming and when. I don't think I can be there until Sunday, but plan is to leave east coast early that am and be there by mid-am.
