I was in New Hampshire 2 weeks ago with my friends' Diesel pickup. I needed to stop for fuel, and the station I stopped at was offering Bio-Diesel as an alternative. This was the first time I actually saw it being sold. I didn't buy it because it wasn't my truck and I didn't know how my friend would feel about running it. However, I was tempted. One problem though, it was 10 cents a gallon more than regular diesel. Perhaps if it becomes more popular, the price will come down? Or will that cause the price to go up? Rollin, Diesel will "gel" at a certain cold unless it is a grade mixed for the cold. I don't know if the properties of Bio Diesel are like that, or need to be. I'll find out!? Yep, you're helping "pioneer" the industry for now with a little extra cost, but if control is kept out of the hands of the usual Wall Streeters, cost can be made minimal...it's an endless and renewable supply.

Okay ... who's organizing the political conspiracy on this board to lock us all into a certain number of messages? I know it has to be a conservative conspiracy, because a strict construction of numbers means they don't change, and change is bad. So are two legs, but that is a different conspiracy. Don't try to get me to change the subject ... each and everyone of us has been stuck on the same number of messages contributed for about the last two pages (at least), but I am not so anal as to go back and actually count.
Fess up!

.... and wouldn't you know it! Just as soon as I notice the shenanigans and make a point about it, someone allows the ticker to move forward one tick! This is really insidious ... I suspect we will have to look for the culprit at the bottom of some exotic rum drink glass sometime between the end of January and the beginning of February. Anyone else game?

Okay ... now this is getting really bizarre. See if you can follow me (and see if you still give a s*@*) ... When I posted the first message of these three, I had a string of messages appearing on page 7 of this thread, all recording my number of posts as "200". When I read that first post (complaining of a conspiracy to lock us into a specfic number of posts), the number of posts I was credited with making had changed to "201". Hence the follow-up, suggesting the slightly paranoid notion that someone is watching and messing with my head. Okay ... so I read that post, and notice that both it and the preceding post are now listing my number of contributions as "202". Both of them!
Maybe it's the Etta James Christmas CD I'm listening to?
Maybe it's the Long Island Ice Tea I made earlier this evening?
Maybe it's the 25 degree weather, and all the wood chopping and hauling I have been doing?
Maybe it's just me?
I'm going to bed!

Persistance pays off! Every message I have posted now says I have contributed 203 (oops, this will be 204) messages ... each message is not recorded individually ... this software is keeping a running record and changes every message to indicate the current total!
Fascinating.
Illogical!
Oh well. I also noticed that the fellow I contacted last year in my old hometown of Carmel, CA (a mere 750 miles away) about booking Little Feat into his cool Sunset Theater ... HAS DONE SO (after we have moved!). Folks who go will enjoy it.
I won't

Scott - You were worried about getting that 4th star weren't you Ain't they pretty? ;D Actually, for a time my logic followed yours. When I realized each post I'd ever put up was updated to my current total, I thought that it might be kind of fun to know from time to time which was my 123rd or my 175th, etc. for points of reference and so on. But, they are all dated and in that way the posts can be chronologically tracked. Don't worry friend, that 4th star is comin' (at 250) and Rick is shining it up for ya right now!

The conspiracy is on my part. I've been blocking your post counts. Didn't I tell you guys in #2 that you need a tinfoil hat or suffer like jashley did? You must have an aluminmum roof or something because, apparently, only parts of my evil scheme were working. These damn gamma ray gun thingies are so damned unreliable. It must have been made in a union shop. Bill L

I see our friend Mark has a birthday today. Happy 46th my friend! Somebody throw a yellow flag! After further review, I see that bfb, (what does that stand for?) not only has a birthday, but it's number 46 as well. Now if you both live in Connecticut... Hoy Hoy you two!

Almost forgot to mention it... If you happen to visit the msn.com homepage today, you may notice a headline there that reads JOGGER'S BODY FOUND IN YARD OF BIG BIRD ACTOR. Did I not predict it? I told you this whole bird flu thing was going to catch on

China just announced that it had asphyxiated all 13 million residents of Beijing who were exposed to birds and/or the air through which birds had flown in its effort to help stop the spread of bird flu. At the same time, it announced it was looking to find a way to connect 3 billion nonessential residents to high voltage wires coming from the Three Gorges Electrical Generation Plant and permanently stop the bird flu epidemic in China.
Who says they aren't nice guys?

He came by the name honestly, even tho I understand that he has retired from the aerial acrobatics of the backward motions, and is a proud new Papa. If I were to try it y'all could call me mim (Massive Injury Mike ;D).

And how do I know that he hasn't just been dropped from a helicopter that just took off?

It's a photoshop. He was actually scuba diving when Hank (or whoever) took this pic. If you look closely enough you can see where all of the scuba gear has been scrubbed out and how the background is from stock Windows wallpaper. Of course, there's always the opinion that I may not know what the hell I'm talking about.
