Can't we all just get along here ?
I thought we were. Is it 'cause I disagree with most of you guys that I'm not in on the joke? Maybe I'm just paranoid. Hang on, the door bell is ringing.
I'm back, just some guys in dark suits and sunglasses. They say I should be afraid. I have to buy into everything that's posted on a blog without question or they'll kill me and my fish (leaving my wife and son to fend for themselves).
Here is the REAL NEWS ! .... check it out...
Thanks for sharing more propaganda with us. There's nothing I like better than some assclown with a web site telling me how I should think. After all, I we are obviously are to dumb to make up our own minds on anything. Thank goodness there's someone out there to tell me how to think. Too bad he can't tell me what to wear or listen to as well. That would really take a lot off my plate.
any comments ?
Nothing serious to add, no.
Write your congressmen and senators !
Why, mine can't read. Although one of them just got married and I'm assuming his wife can. But the other (Patrick Kennedy) is incapable of anything so difficult. And Chaffee doesn't do anything without permission from his party (I'm not quite sure which party that is, but nevertheless he's waiting for orders). The last guy (Langevin) I don't know much about because we hardly ever hear from him. Maybe I could just make a CD and send it to them. That way when they're in their limos on their way to "work" they can listen to me and think "I can't believe a guy like this lives in my district. That's why I never go back to that retched state unless they pay me." But other than that, I think it might work.
BTW, what are we writing to our Reps and Sens for again? Because the only way some skank heiress can be "famous" is to walk around in a skimpy suit and be dumb? Then wait for the outrage? Sounds like a big non issue to me. I, personely, am in full favor of all women showing it off. That way I can pick and choose who I gawk at. And they, as usual, can ignore me as they see fit. Now that would truley bring balance to the force.

MIKE AND BILL L ......
You guys are a hoot. I'm the guy that put that "blog" on the board a couple of posts back.
That frickin blog I pasted on there is all a lame attempt at humor. I don't like some jerk giving me their opinion on things either. I think I'm fully capable of making up my mind myself !
Ya see, here's the scoop. I have a job that is kind of slow right now, and I have reached the end of the net, I've fallen down and can't get up, and I've been forced to look at blogs ! It's kinda like watching paint dry. Plus, I live in the DC area, so I have this political disease forced upon me !
I don't want you all thinking I'm some kinda carpet bagger coming in here to this site to "plant" my opinions on people.....
Nah, I've been to more Feat shows that I can coun't on both hands, and that doesn't include Jamaica One, where I stayed so drunk, I couldn't stand up most the time, thus feeling the need not to reveal my real name here ! Hey, watch out for those all-inclusive packages !
Oh by the way, Tom DeLay is my first cousin. NOT !!!

Oh yes, MIKE and BILL L .... I will always be loyal to the Feat.
Now, back to politics. I say, go do what ya can. THAT's WHY I did another little "blog" .....and went on the senate website and emailed it to the offices of a few senators, including Tom DeLay, and Bill Frist and to Hillary, Teddy, and few others.
Yes, I'm a Dem., and I believe in the two party system, but I'm not real taken by all the hypocracy of the religious right at the moment. Hey, not that I'm the world's greatest Christian, and I DON'T believe in mixing religion and politics in government, but nevertheless, I though I would give some words of wisdom to a few folks who needed it, and others who might agree with me and spread the word.......
Here is the link (below) I sent to the Hill a couple of nights ago.
Yeah, these young kids screen the stuff that work up there, bu ya never know. Especially since you can send links all over the place...check it out...
(and no, I did not write the words under the passages..got' em from a book in the drug store...

Well now ... I don't get to post here very oftend (and am not sure when I will be able to check and see if anyone responds to the comments which follow) ... as I said about a month ago, the lease ran out on my house, I am retiring in 9 working days, the wife has already moved the dog and all of our stuff up to Oregon, and I am living with a friend in an empty room with little to no internet access. So, it is a rare day, indeed, when I can visit the non-Little Feat related message board and try to catch up. Good to see you back, Bill.
A couple of comments ...
There is no real "left" left in this country. If you believe Noam Chomsky ... who is a lefty ... the last true liberal President was Richard Nixon. The democrats are a right-centrist party, the majority of the republican party is right of them, and then there are the wacko, verbal and influential republicans who want to not only tell everyone what to do and believe, but want to pass laws to make us do and believe it (all in the name of "freedom", of course). Then there are the really extreme aryan nation types that we all choose to use as cartoon fodder.
Nope, the discussion of a "liberal/conservative" influence on politics is just so much hot air. The real power is in the corporate offices, which don't really have any politics. There are "liberal" and "conservative" ceos and directors of think tanks and supporters of causes ... and they really believe in the things they support and believe in (no "conspiracy" here). It's just that the bottom-line is always the bottom line. And corporations, for the most part, are basically fascist organizations. Top-down, ruthless, and not much room for dissent within the ranks. Corporate socialism is the operational "politics" of the new age, and free enterprise is as much an anathema to corporate executives as it was to Stalin and his crowd. The sooner we all realize this, and stop participating in the charade of what we wished existed, the sooner we stop fighting amongst ourselves about the chimera of "control" and recognize we don't have any, the sooner we might be able strip corporations of their "individual" rights and curb them in.
The media is just a part of that game, too. All appearances of a free and inquiring press are out there for us to see ... but how many gonzo journalists are there, really? No one can say anything about what is really going on, for fear of reprisal, so all "sources" insist on anonymity; anonymous sources are easily manipulatable -- witness the latest Newsweek "scandal" about Koran abuse (which, I guess, is certainly less arguable than human abuse, that most won't talk about at all) which, it turns out, was basically a true story except for one little detail that may have been planted by the "anonymous" source in the first place.
Everyone needs to go back and read their Orwell. The press doesn't have to be a part of the manipulation, and if anyone really believes that press secretaries don't manipulate the press, then I have a bridge for sale.
By the way ... Bill is absolutely correct -- Dubya's efforts to manipulate the press are not different than Clinton's in any way.
Gotta run, now. Ta ta boys and girls

Stop with the "parlor games" and take care of some vitally serious business like the future of the USA. 2) "anonymous" as in Karl Rove. 3) I disagree...Dubya is actually buying/bullying control of the media. Not saying Clinton wouldn't have, but he had a different bunch of "bosses".

Yeah, it is good to have Bill back, but it's also good to see you're back as well Scott. So that's what you've been up to - retirement! Congratulations, and may I say that I wish you well for many many post-working years to come! More from Scott:Bullseye. Perfectly said Scott. And one more from Scott: I've been telling my kids for the past 5 years that yes we think of such things as the internet, "caller ID", and a hundred other things as modern day conveniences. And they are, but they are also what Mr. Orwell referred to as "Big Brother". Your computers, telephones, and probably your TV's are watching you (and you always thought you were watching TV ). Hell, even your car is watching you if you have a dashboard GPS system installed. He called his book 1984, and he didn't miss it by too many years did he? We are bit by bit forfeiting our freedoms in ways that we don't even notice. Stephen King said it in The Stand, and I'll try to quote this as best I as I can recall the line... "The end does not begin with a bang, but with a sigh." It's something like that. Gotta run. - chadgumbo

One quick rant please? Today the so-called "supreme court" overturned the convictions of the Arthur Anderson Accounting Firm for desroying (shredding) much of the evidence in the ENRON caper. Something about the jury wasn't properly instructed. I figure this is just a sneak preview of how Dubyas Enron buddies are going to SKATE at the end of the day, but hey...we sure slammed Martha Stewart didn't we. USA = punked again! Thank you.
