Couldn't decide to put this on "films" or "soundtracks" but...I got in from work last night and my DVD(s) of Eric Claptons "Crossroads Guitar Festival" had arrived from Amazon ($20). I properly prepared my head & ears and plugged it in. Had a blast. One of the best $20's I've ever spent. Non-stop intrigue for 2 DVDs. Get it!

I read on the HHD that "Sahara" was a mediocre movie but Little Feat are part of the soundtrack with "Let it Roll".
Cool!

Well I followed through with my thoughts previously posted on Feat Fans' Favorite Films and purchased the soundtrack to Collateral. This collection of music all comes together nicely to create a really well done soundtrack. I'm not a fan of rap music, but the one track (2) that begins as a rap tune also blends in the soulful vocals of Cody Chesnutt, and after 2 or 3 listens I began to actually enjoy that track along with all the others. The CD has a strong latino music presence. My favorite track is a song by Green Car Motel called Destino de Abril. Jashley would like this song - it sounds like it came straight out of the movie "Desperado" and supplanted itself here. But the soundtrack also features jazz pieces by Miles Davis and Klazz Brothers, as well as a bit of techno when we hear Paul Oakenfold's Ready, Steady, Go (it's the Japanese version - sounds like Joonbie, Jooba, Go! ;D) In addition to all of this there is also (what I call, for lack of a better term) plenty of the scene segue music interspersed throughout the CD. Tom Rothrock's Rollin' Crumblin is a rocking little piece that bounces along and imprints a clip from the movie in your mind where Mark Ruffalo is in his car hot on Cruise's and Foxx's trail. I'm not a big collector of movie soundtracks, but I'm glad I picked this one up. - chadgumbo
