Hoys all,
Near the end of January, in time for the Jamaica fun, I produced a three-disc compilation of Little Feat tunes culled from my live show collection. I got it to a good friend who was going to attend and in his caring and sharing way has made it available to many more... though I think it's less than 15.
I called it Little Feat: Imaginary Road Show.
Since then it has come to my attention, via the HHD #2667, that this practice of making "mix" discs of LF tunes is something that the band would rather not have us do. I quote the entire message from Scott Jones... If anyone should know, he should.

This topic has had a lot of discussions around here recently.
Rollin' Mark recently distributed a very nice three-disc compilation. Whoever created that one put a LOT of work into it. Having had some experience doing one of these compilations I need to make a comment here. Having done one myself I certainly understand the motivations for creating such a CD. It's a lot of fun taking your favorite pieces of your favorite music and creating your "perfect" Feat show.
Having created my Jamaica CD for the first trip, I was considering doing another. I had some specific ideas for a second compilation. But something in the back of my head said... "Let's see what the band thinks." They were very appreciative of my interest, and in asking but were very clear and polite in their feeling that such compilations are best done by them. The normal copying and trading of shows is fine as usual, but they really would prefer we NOT do these compilations. Let's please respect their wishes.

What can I say?
First, since I've gotten some feed back, I appreciate that it has given you all some degree of satisfaction. That was the intent. Your kind words have made the hours spent putting it together all worth it.
Second, I had no idea that this activity was frowned on by the band. To quote George W. in HHD2668, "it certainly would have been nice for someone to tell us that beforehand." A classic case of Who Knew?
Third, and this is perhaps wishful thinking, if you have this compilation from me or anyone else... please don't distribute it further. Keep it and enjoy it, but I guess in this case sharin' ain't carin'.
Now I'm off to start another compilation disc: Dylan Songs That Never Got Airplay...
