???Hi Ya'll....I'm a new kid on this block. Found the site after getting my tickets for the May 6th Roanoke, VA concert. I wanted to get caught up on Little Feat's music before I go to see them at the show and was looking at what was available in the store, here on the website. I for sure want to get the latest stuff, expecting that's what I'll hear the most. Now, "Kickin' it at the Barn" appears to be available at the store, but then I read the news releases from the publicity team postings on the main page and one states that the CD is set to be released on April 6th! So my question is "Can I git it??"

Yes Yes Yes you can get it - I don't know what was wrong with the publicist, but he just flat out got the date wrong. KIATB has been out for about 6 months. Maybe he was cornfused by the release date for the audio CD version of the High Wire Act DVD show.
I've got all of KIATB on my computer here at work, so I can groove whenever I'm doing the right kind of work.

Hoy, Hoy, farmboy, No need to be confused..... Ignore that press release. Kickin' It was released in the fall of 2003 and is available in stores as well as this here fine website. A DVD (High Wire Act) was also released in the latter part of 2004. What we're all waiting for is the CD version of that DVD which will be released soon. If you want a good taste of what is a waiting you, pick up the DVD as well as Kickin' It. Soon after that you will be compelled to purchase every Feat recording in print. Hope there's room on your credit card. Welcome aboard. Put on your sailin' shoes.......

Farmboy, I'd suggest that you pick up a copy of "Waitin' for Columbus". That's the one that did it for me wayyyy back when. It would give you a sense of where The Feat came from and how they stuck to an original vision of plain ol' good music.

;)Hey, thanks for the helpful replies. Now I have another dumb question to ask. I am now in littlefeat.com. In several places on this website there are phrases you can click on that say "go to littlefeat.net". When I click on that it doesn't appear that I've gone to anything new!! Have I?

I for sure want to get the latest stuff, expecting that's what I'll hear the most. You wont necessarily hear mostly from "Kickin it" You may not hear a single tune form it. Great thing about LF is they play selections spannig thier whole history, including all the various lineups they have had over the years.

Hey Farmboy, I'd agree with the earlier post.... "Waiting For Columbus" Also think the "Raw and Ripe Tomatoes" collections show the scope of the band. Have fun at the show. "Those Feat Will Not Steer You Wrong"

Hey New Kid! I was one of you back in 76 (God that long ago) when I hit the 12 shows they did for Waiting for Columbus! I am a DC native and there is nothing like a Feat show at the Warner Theatre. Try listening to Time Loves a Hero, Sailin Shoes, Let it Roll and Representing the Mambo before heading off to the show in VA. Wish I still lived there - what great fans in DC! Enjoy the show and welcome to the Feat!!! ;D
