A bar in College Station, Texas across the street from Texas A&M University (the alma mater of Lyle Lovett and Robert Earl Keen). When the Dixie Chicks first formed in Dallas they called themselves The Dixie Chickens being impressed by "this new band" they had been listening to, but the aforementioned bar threatened to sue them over the name, so they shortened it to "The Dixie Chicks"...go figure? Barrere's only comment about that whole thing was, "we're flattered by The Chicks. We've been to the bar and it's a fun place, but I don't understand their claim to the name...it's a crazy world we live in." So much for big time litigation. ;D
