,Not Many Happy Faces Tonight. No energy at all. Fire the Sound Board guy. What happened to the solid Southern Rock and Roll rifts from the lead guitar??? That's what I came for. I saw the fingers movin' but couldn't hear it!! Your lead guitar drives your music. Why hide it? One of the all time worst live shows I have EVER seen.(@$32) Your lucky I spent $100 on band merchandise BEFORE the show. What a disappointment. Time to retire. Try listening to your selfs. About 4-5 mins of good Jam in a 2 hour set. I want a refund. You SUCK. Watching people leave your show gave me the cold prickles. Waste of money , waste of an evening. Try a pre show sound check next time.

I've been to a few shows where the sound sucked, and even a few where the band was flat, seemed tired and sorta phoned in their performance ... shows like that aren't any fun, and if that's the way the Mobile show turned out you have my sympathies. However, the vast majority of Feat shows I've been to in the last 5 years have ranged from very good to absolutely amazing, so if the Mobile show is the first/only Feat show you've seen in a long time, I'd strongly recommend you give 'em another try. you shouldn't decide that they "suck" and it's "time to retire" based on one show. after all, you wouldn't want people to decide that you are a "moron" or a "brainless prick" based on one post, would you?

Did anybody else here go to this show? I would love to hear an opinion from someone who has seen the Feat before and not a first time poster. Maybe the giantclam should just clam up.

I've always liked the way Hank anesthetizes the reader before he picks up the knife... a genius:)

I'm still laughing with Hank and Dave as I'm writing this. Thank you, you guys are great ;D Giantclam, I'm sorry you didn't like the show. Based on the amount of merchandise you purchased prior to the concert, I'm guessing you've been a Feat fan for some time? I hope so, and I hope this hasn't soured you completely (although "you SUCK" tends to say it all, doesn't it?) I'm hoping that comment was emotion driven, and not based on thirty five years of music history. Somewhere on this message board I once commented on a show (shamefully in Rochester, Minnesota )where I would guess there must have been well under 100 fans at the Mayo Civic Center to see Little Feat. I was among them. It was in 1995. Now that was one show where you would not have been able to blame the band for "mailing in" the performance. And yet, from my perspective at least, that didn't seem to be the case. But then, maybe ignorance is bliss. Maybe I was just so damned happy to have such a good deal of real estate available to me so close to the stage that I just didn't notice. The quality of the sound was fine, the band seemed to be reasonably enthusiastic, and as far as I was concerned... all was right with the world. But I was disappointed in Rochester for having such a poor turnout. Goosfraba

Hey Man, we don't run off fans round here cause we figure if you went to a Feat show you must have something going for ya. But...this is NOT one of those boards were you can jump on as a face-less "keyboard warrior" and and just start blasting away at the band or its fans. We maintain a high standard of respect for each other in this Feat Nation, and most of all for a band that has worked their ass off for a long time. Having said that, I can share you pain somewhat. A few years ago after a long wait, I saw Feat at a brand new venue in Dallas that was an amphitheater and built for acoustics called The Starplex. During the show I could hardly recognize what songs were being played it sounded so bad. But after listening to and watching Feat since '72, I wasn't falling for it being their fault even tho if you play as many shows as they do...you just can't be "on" every nite. Sure nuff, the engineers had to come back and re-work the acoustics of the place eventually. We have a thread about politics where we will sometimes wail on each other in fun, but other than that...you gotta gather some respect for this entire community that is very protective of the Greatest and Tightest Band to ever grace a stage. Be in Dallas tomorrow nite and I'll reimburse your ticket cost if you see another bad show! Name is Mike...Mustang Mike! ;D

I went to the Mobile show, and it was not the best I've seen, but I think that had more to do with song selection than sound. I sat rear center and the sound was great. There was(in my humble opinion) way too much deedily music and not enough rock and roll. I was sure that the twirling dancers were about to show up--I really hate deedily music! As for not enough jam-can't say. I was busy being amused by the lap dance going on in the balcony-some folks really liked the music I guess Nice place too! It's all good
