Ive been waiting for someone else to break the news, but in as much as I haven't seen anything... Hell, I've rarely left Kansas... I'll break the news... No more new Little Feat Sound boards will (officially) circulate.
Take this from another board I frequent....

Hello,
My name is Damon Westjohn and I am the operations manager here at MunckMix. First, I want to say how much I love your site. I have been using it from time to time since it's initial inception.
The reason for this email is that I wanted to let you know that the band Little Feat has recently signed with us. The 10/22/05 show has been submitted to us for official release. I hate to ask this, but can this be taken down? I am going to have the bands management change their official trading policy to match Ratdog's. Any soundboard from any show prior to 2004 is okay to trade. But starting with 2004 and on, no more trading of their soundboards. And audience taping will always be permitted, and should be freely traded. I hope that you understand where I am coming from.
Let me know if you have any questions about this.

Read between lines and you too should realize that if it hasn't happened yet (I haven't checked) any SBD show up on the live music archive/LMA/ archive.org from '04 forward may be pulled down in deference to this new marketing agreement.
As he stated, this business will in no way affect the taping of shows from the audience by individuals, nor the circulating of said live recordings in the usual channels. nor the trading of SBDs prior to '04
It may seem selfish of me to say so, but it doesn't bother me in the least. Worse that can happen is we loose a backup source in the event of equipment failure. Also, depending on the venue, a SBD mix can sound very sterile and lacking in some areas.
So we move on. Look at it as an opportunity to buy some new tools!
