Here's a description of what the coming 2005 Feat Fan Excursion video is:
A professional, polished family reunion home video, presented as a warm fuzzy look back at the large party that was the 3rd annual Feat Fan Excursion at Grand Lido Negril, Jamaica, featuring:
wall to wall music;
interviews with band members on musical influences;
a sequence on memories of Lowell George;
how Little Feat was born;
a broad snapshot of what Little Feat have accomplished by reaching out to their fans and fostering the Grassroots Movement.
This could be the feel good musical movie of the year.
Peter Servine on the DVD – “The film is almost done cutting and ready for color correction, etc. Things are heating up as we approach the finish. The only comments we got back from the other crew and producer on the film was that it might be too happy, not enough dramatic tension and downs to go with the ups, ha ha. So it’s a fun film.”
In continuance of the family and team spirit of the Grassroots Movement and the film itself, Peter Servine and Evan Payne are asking you, the fans, to suggest appropriate names that capture the whole attitude of the Excursions, the vibe of Jamaica, the Feat family reunion, the feel of the whole event. The chosen suggestion will get the submitter a copy of the film signed by the band and film crew.
