New here, but have been a fan of Little Feat since the early days. Back in 1997 had an opportunity to see Darrell Scott and Roy Huskey, Jr. at Merlefest. On the first song I felt like I was seeing a relative of Lowell George. During that set the feeling got stronger and stronger. In the midst of this bluegrass festival it was pretty weird thinking these strong thoughts about Little Feat. Have followed Darrell's career to this day and since I live in North Carolina it has been pretty easy to do. He plays here a lot in bands and solo. Have seen him as lead guitarist for Sam Bush, with Danny Thompson and Kenny Malone and also with Jeff Coffey and Casey Driessen. Have also caught many intense solo shows. Like Lowell, Darrell Scott is a great guitarist, amazing songwriter and soulful singer. Kinda wish he would hook-up for a cruise with Little Feat like Sam Bush did. Just wanted to highly recommend Darrell's music to Little Feat fans. He has lots of music for FTP download at (the recent set from the Netherlands is superb): www.bluegrassbox.com...and in a couple of weeks a "best of" set of live music recorded in North Carolina will be available from his website that was recorded with Danny Thompson (Richard Thompson's bassist) and Kenny Malone (a drummer for Neil Young). www.darrellscott.comHappy trails!
