Let's have some fun! RibFest 2005 in St Pete, looks like its' in Vinoy Park (I do need to do some checking on more details....just getting started on this show!). Vinoy is the same place the BluesFest played, nice outdoor venue on the water, room for your lawn chairs and lawn lounges and if I can figure out a way to sneak a hammock in maybe that too!
More to follow.....will try to establish a meet and greet, though with a festival it may be best to just meet inside and find a few cold ones to wash down some ribs.
Tickets, hotels, times, etc. to follow soon.....stay posted.
Steve: my reply to your email has come back undeliverable. My preferred email is dmccarthy@superioralf.com, the office number is 352-686-3831, x5, if you don't get either of my replies call me there and I'll give you the rest of the info.
This will be a fun festival.....looking forward to it.

Tickets for the RibFest: Ticketmaster will get you $6.50 pre-sales tickets or they're $10.00 at the gate on the day of the show. The gates swing open daily at 11:00AM, and the Feat are on stage on Saturday, November 12th. The Festival sites says still pictures only, no video and no audio recording, but I do intend to check on that a little bit more in depth due to our Feat's very generous policy regarding taping. Also on stage that day: Night Ranger, Gator Country and Dicky Betts and Great Southern. This festival features two stages, so the music is continuous, so between the bands on the main stage will be some local bands on a stage at the other end of the park. This festival will include a lot of music to go along with the band we all know as the greatest band ever, and a lot of great food. Web site link: www.ribfest.org/default.aspPlease drop me a note with any other questions or concerns! Look forward to seeing all the Feat fans in Ste Pete! DenniMac

Feat should be on stage at 1:00PM, 1300 hours, or shortly thereafter, at the RibFest. If you're planning on seeing them actually play (can't imagine any other reason to go to a show!) you'll want to be in Vinoy Park by 1:00. The link to the ribfest website: www.ribfest.org/ On the site there is detailed information on parking, etc. But if you have any questions or concern, please don't hesitate to drop me a line, I'm only too happy to help. See you in St Pete! DenniMac

Anyone heading to see Feat is invited to check out Craftsman House, our art gallery/cafe just 3 of miles from the Rib Fest site. My wife & I are long time Feat fans & on Friday (after 2 years of renovating) we just opened up our art gallery.
We feature handmade artwork by American artists-wood, clay, jewelry, blown glass, kalidoscopes, ... We are housed in a historic 1918 Craftsman Bungalow. My wife's pottery studio & her 70 cubic foot gas kiln are also on the property.
Right now the cafe is just soda & water. The full cafe is a couple of weeks away from opening. But the gallery & studio are open.
From the Vinoy site, head over to 1st Ave N. Turn right on 1st Ave N. Head up 1st Ave N & turn left on 30th St. We are right there on the corner of Central Ave & 30th St. It is less than 10 minutes to get there & there is free parking. Let us know you are in town for the show & bring some LFeat CDs, we'll pop them in. Call us at 727-323-ARTS if you get lost.
Oh yeah, Saturday night we will be having a free wine tasting (to wash down those ribs) from 5:00-9:00. Hope to see you!

What a great show.....the band rocked the yard for a full hour and fifteen minutes without ever missing a beat or stopping for air. Fred mesmerized the crowd with what seemed like a ten minute plus soliloquoy on the mandolin and the entire crowd was on it's feat in the hot florida sun yelling and screaming. Great great great show....very happy to have been there and been a part of it.
