What's the deal with the Oct. 7-9 shows in Tuscaloosa, Winston-Salem and Charlotte getting wiped off the books? The rumor is that one of the band members will have knee surgery, according to one promoter, but there's been no information or explanation posted on the site. I was looking forward to seeing the Featsters in Charlotte. I would appreciate it if someone could shed some light on this, since it's obvious the band doesn't feel it's important to clue their fans in on what happened.

the knee surgery rumor is new to me, but I suppose it's possible (Paul did have neck surgery a few years ago). it's more likely that something in the music business world went off track ... the band isn't in the habit of announcing the reasons for cancellations when it's a business thing; it certainly isn't that they don't care when shows are cancelled, just that it really is their business and not ours. hard to remember sometimes, but it is a business.

Hoys All Yeah, Hank is right on target here-politics is politics, and biz is biz, never "Business As Usual". Have played drums as a pro for 35 years and this stuff with "confirmed bookings" going to shit happens often. God knows the band have no beef playing in NC--Are you f-in' kidding me?? You think Paul and Kenny would willingly give up 3 days in "Golf Heaven"? Christ, they probably could have Rocky or Nick sling those clubs a mile down the road to the adjacent golf course from the Big Red Bus...Am sure Paul and Kenny would throw those underworked roadies a bone...Would love to see Nick and Rocky caddying <g> Had to comment here...I did promise to post to this forum more often a few weeks back...Feedback is more than welcome. Later Paco

I know it's a business; I was a reporter for a live entertainment trade publication for 10 years. Thus, from my experience, three consecutive cancellations is somewhat unusual, and I believe the band has an obligation to inform ticket holders as to the reason(s) for bowing out.
