My schedule is tight this week, but I want to come out and try to tape the Ottawa show (6/29). At last year's Ottawa show (which I taped from in front of the stage), I was told by a hardcore fan that soundboard access was available. Will this be the case this time 'round? If so, what'll I be patching into? (I have a Nomad JB3, so will end up going into a 1/8" stereo line-in jack. I can have either 2 RCA plugs or 2 1/4" plugs on the other end.)
Any info would be appreciated.
Aloha, Brad

Brad, my personal knowledge is that, if Howard puts out the patch bay, you will have access to three sets of stereo RCA and 3 sets of stereo XLR. Bring the RCA male x mini stereo male and you should be fine. Run the mini into the line-in jack on the JB3 and set the record mode to line-in. Leave the gain setting at 0 for Howard's board feed. (Other patch bays may be hotter, so YMMV)
As a side note. I did get word from a taper at the 6-22 show that the patch bay was not out. No explanation really. If you get there early enough and ask permission at the appropriate time (not during sound check or while Howard is twiddling the knobs) then he will likely find a way to accomodate you.
Good luck.

Brad, what did you think of the Ottawa show? Were you able to tape it?
