Another Stop in Michigan!! The Feats will be playing in beautiful Traverse City on July 2, as the featured act on the first day of the National Cherry Festival. The Festival is a BIG deal, lots of folks (75,000 last year!), lots of stuff to do all week. The best show, of course, will be our favorites appearing at the Open Space Stage, Union St. and Grandview Parkway, 9PM Saturday. But wait, there's more!..... It's free!!
This is an outdoor venue, situated on Grand Traverse Bay. I'd suggest bringing your own chairs, blankets, something to sit on. The plan is for a 90 minute set. The weather appears like it's going to cooperate (partly cloudy and 80), but this is the West coast of Michigan; anything can and usually does happen, so check for weather forecasts before heading out.
For those coming from a ways out, lodging is at a premium, so call ahead. Plenty of camping in the area, but this is peak vacation time in this part of the State; again, call ahead.
Let's meet and Greet at the Union St. Station, a neat little local establishment just a pleasant stroll down the street from the venue. Need to leave enough time to get a good seat, so 7ish? The Station's address is 117 S. Union St. 231-941-1930. Traverse City is pretty easy to get to- 4 hours from Detroit and Chicago.
Saturday night with Little Feat, beside Lake Michigan- sounds like a party to me! See you there!

Hoy Hoy - I'm a member of The Corvairs, from right here in TC, and we just got confirmation that we secured the warm up slot at the Cherry Festival show - what a thrill! I've been a fan for 4 decades, seen the Feat a dozen times, but to share a stage with them....truly a career highlight. So....Feat fans - please don't hang at Union Street toooolong - come out and see The Corvairs beginning at 7:30 - we promise our own funky mix of originals and rhythm and blues - hoipe to see you there!

All Right, Bobaloo! I think it's a must that we catch the Corvairs set! How about 6PM at Union St.? I'll be at the venue early, to catch up with Denny. I'm the tall guy with the Little Feat in Jamaica Tshirt on. Maybe look for me, and we can organize a stroll down Union St. on site. Latest weather- 80 and sunny! Should be just a fine evening on the Bay!

Wow - what a thrill it was to share the stage with Da Feat! I want to tell all you fans - the members of the band were extremely gracious to us, and we had a great time talking music, golf, and photography backstage. I'll get some photos back and post them soon. It was without a doubt the musical highlight of our careers for The Corvairs. The band played a great show, and the audience was very enthusiastic from beginning to end. Enjoyed the covers from the Grateful Dead and Bob Marley, and the encore medley featuring Fat Man was incredible. The boys are on top of their games, Shaun sounded fantastic, and the entire show was one I'll never forget. Get out and see a show - you won't be disappointed.

Hoys all! The Feats ripped it up at the National Cherry Festival in Traverse City, Mi. on Saturday night, July 2. The stage was right on West Grand Traverse Bay, and it was a perfect summer’s night in Northwest Michigan. After a cookin’ opening set from The Corvairs, local Traverse City talent, Shaun and the guys opened up with “Rock & Roll Every Night”, and the fun began: Cajun Rage Oh Atlanta Spanish Moon > Skin It Back Cadillac Hotel (changed from Red Streamliner) Willin’ > Don’t Bogart (The signer had fun with this one!) > Willin’ This Land is Your Land (A tip of the patriotic hat!) Takes a Lot to Laugh Poultry stretched out Fatman in the Bathtub Gringo > Get Up Stand Up > Tennessee Jed > Fatman
A smokin’ set, to say the least! The sound was superb! Great mix! 2000 plus fans were treated to a memorable performance from the Band. And the Big Red Bus drove away loaded up with cherry pies and cherry products, as all good tourists should do! Great show!
