The perfect Cinco de Mayo -- 05.05.05 -- with Little Feat....the only thing that improves on that is cold one in my hand and my sweetie at my side.
Club Ricochet in Fort Myers, FL for Cinco de Mayo, this oughta be a great show. I've never personally been inside that club but I'm ready to make sure everyone who ventures that far South -- to an area that I might add has some phenomenal beaches, great places to hang out and stuff yourself silly, and all around generally laid back atmosphere -- has a great time.
More details to come: I'll post some hotel ticket, driving and parking information here as well as the message board, and will also request assistance in promoting a pre-show gathering. Stay tuned, I think this show will be great.

Ps: one note, I'm sure the Ricochet Club is a limited seating venue, so tickets will be rare and scarce -- as soon as we can get info on getting those tickets you ought to grab 'em up!

This is a super venue. It's definately a "get up, stand up" deal. There are two bars with stools and very few tables around one of them. I'm not sure what the capacity of the place is.

The Ricochet Club holds 800 people, tickets are available on littlefeat.net by clicking on the tour date. This show should be a great one.
Still looking for any locals to Ft Myers who might know of a good place to meet and greet before the show -- any ideas?

dennimac, if you are still wondering what to do b4 the show, i am a local musician and will be playing at Jalepeno's which is on College Parkway in fort myers about 10 minutes from Ricochet. Jalepenos is a great Mexican Restaurant and will be hosting a block party w/ several bands. My band "The Move" plays from 6 to 7 ..I will be leaving there and heading to Ricochets after we are done. If you come by, I am the drummer... name is Domenic ....say hello...its always nice to meet another "Little Feat" fan  |

Traveling to The Perfect Cinco de Mayo? To see the Feat at the Ricochet Club in Ft Myers? Should be a great show .... Here's how to get there:
Ricochet is located on Cleveland Ave which is US 41 through Ft Myers. The club is just North of Edison Mall, located in a shopping plaza. To get there: I-75 drivers exit onto West onto Colonial Blvd (884), travel to Cleveland Ave/US 41, and turn to the right to go North on Cleveland. Before you get to Cleveland Ave you'll cross Six Mile Cypress Parkway, the Metro Parkway, a set of train tracks and Fowler Street.
We've heard at least one suggestion of what to do before the show, the message from littleval above that refers us all to Jalepeno's. Sounds like it might be a good place to get a bite to eat and hear some tunes before standing on our feet and rocking to the Feat for the rest of the night!
