Do you know what it means too miss New Orleans? Am currently in training for the upcoming Festivities ... Tequilla is well represented, I should note, at the local store ... So that's covered. Anyone on the fence should run not walk to get onboard for the new orleans Little Feat/Subdudes show at the very least! The weekend before is a reunion of the original Meters. This is a red letter day even in new orleans, and it's only cause I love ya that I'm even saying this outloud online before I get my own tickets! PS ... I'm typing this while listening to Sister Emma slappin out "There Ain't No Brakeman on This train" And damn fine sounds Ms Emma! Well done We somehow knew you had it in you Now to get you on Guys CD May the Feat Rise up to meet you and may Kenny and Richie be always at your back T

I'll be there! But I'm seeing Trey 1st. Think that means I'll miss the 'dudes, but I want to bring and setup my taping rig. Any info on whether there will be a spot or should I plan on going up top, or perhaps just taking a patch? Will the bay be in use this nite, considering we are in the House Of Rules!... Any other tapers planning on being there? Perhaps I can hand off my stand to someone who will be there when doors open?? Any help is greatly appreciated!
See Ya'll There! ;D

Hi Folks, I'm flying in from L.A. for the House of Blues show (Rocky gave me the heads up) and I'm wondering if there is any pre-arranged get-together planned somewhere. I'm coming into the Airport at 4:16 then have to check into the hotel.I'll probably be cabbing it into town for the show and need to know exactly where, when, address etc. of where I need to show up.Please let me know if there is something I can come to, I'd love to see any fans I may have met in Jamaica in January, maybe at the FarBar???DanettemakaPatsyClineII

Hey there, Jet setter!! Come on down. The House of Blues is 225 Decatur in the French Quarter- near the corner of Decatur & Bienville.
Doors to the venue open at 8. Subdudes take the stage 1st at 9:30.
For ease, I'd suggest pre-show gathering right at the House of Blues. We can meet at the BB Blues bar- let's say 7PM. If there is interest in dining at HOB, let me know who's interested- I'll contact them regarding reservations. or maybe we can venture somewhere else close. The place next door - called 205 I think is tasty- little pricey.
Glad to see you're coming- you can contact me at south@poccentral.com.

Hey Ms Clara et. al. enroute to the HOB show ... Dinner at HOB sounds like a hamburger at Margaritaville to me Not too mention Lounge Lizards (Home) is right across the damn street! 200 Decatur Quite possibly Ginza Jazz performing sunday evening! 3 Japanese music students on really nice guitars ... these guys rock, but are not well known (i.e. no crowds) and would be an awsome intro to the Dudes/Feat festivities. Hadn't given any thought to food that night ... but off the top of my head ... (matter of fact I'm weraing the hat ) Hueys 24/7 Dinner is 2 blocks away! This place also rocks especially for an ocassion like this. Everything you could possibaly want on the menu and they are can handle any number of people at any time, and get us out fast. my $.02 (which is worth a dollar in nawlins T

Hey! I'm game for anything. HOB would not be my 1st choice for food, especially in a city like New Orleans. I was just thinking that folks will be arriving at all times- some will want to hang at the Fairgrounds through the last act.
Maybe we can meet up at the BB Blues bar & take it from there. I though of Maspero's (a personal fav) about 2-3 blocks away- usually a line.

hehe hey ms Clara ... I'm not rick ... but I play one on TV. Sun. 5/1 6:00 pm Lounge Lizards 200 Decatur St. (directly accross the street from HOB) Slim Nelson Trio Drinks on me Eat where ya want I'm goin' to Huey's! Darlin', these guys are a diner ... but there is everything on the menu you could ever want. Oysters, Po Boys, Jambalaya etc. My mouth is already watering for the best damn meatloaf in the world! Served on brioche, covered with mashed potatoes, and topped with fried onions ... But as I'm headed over there in the next day or so I am sure I will have gotten the meatloaf before sunday night. Everytime I take people here they balk ... "a diner? In Nawlins?" Without exception satisfied and amazed customers. 5 of which, as a matter of fact, will be in attendance at HOB, and at least will not fight the suggestion of Hueys this time.
