Monday night return to the famed Birchmere Music Salon in Alexandria, Virginia. This show was originally to be at the Ram's Head Live in Baltimore, but was moved here ? The Birchmere is a very nice, small room with excellent acoustics. The place holds about 500+ and the seating is pretty tight. Dancing is discouraged - there isn't much room for it. Seating is first come, first served and you need to arrive by 5PM to get a low number for early entry to the room (the "table grab"). Since this is such an early show (7:30 PM start- prompt!) the best place to meet & greet is at the venue in the bar area. Doors open at 5PM. Tickets are $35. Last time here was sold out, so don't delay. Contact me directly if you are coming from out of town and need a ticket. I get them in advance directly from the box office to avoid the ticketb*st*rd charge. Little Feat Date: Monday 4/11/2005 Time: 7:30 PM Cost: $35.00 www.birchmere.com for more info on the venue see you in April! backflip bob

Hugo Rodriguez will be the POC for this show. His first time - so come on down and help him do some sign-ups. We're painting the town with posters now, and I'm off to buy some tickets on Friday. Anybody needing tickets -contact me offline @ backflipbob@comcast.net
Post show gathering is likely to be at the Evening Star Cafe on Mount Vernon Ave (about a mile & a half south of birchmere) The Birchmere kicks everyone out at 10:30, and after two hours of snake-neckin' and rapture, we will need a couple of drinks to calm down.
See ya there, backflip bob

As BFBob notes, its my first time as POC but I'm way up for it. Give me a shout if you have any tips!
Let me underline what BFB says about getting there early. Birchmere's a great venue but the best seats go fast. There's a bar outside the showroom so the wait goes pretty quickly.
Look forward to seeing everybody for some Monday Night Mayhem. Cheers!
Hugo

Hi,
Just got tix for this show. Am considering taping. Anybody know the Birchmere's policy on taping? I would hate to haul my stuff up there only to find out at the door that taping is not allowed (i.e. Ram's Head).
Thanks for any info, John S.

John S - find me or Hugo @ the show (get there early) we'll put you in touch with Howard if it's okay with the B'mere folks. they are touchy about taping there, but if it's okay with Howard/Denny et al...i'm hopeful that you can plug in.

Post-show Gather/Greet/Gulp for those who ain't had enough fun will be at the Evening Star Cafe-details: Evening Star Cafe 2000 Mt.Vernon Ave (1 mile south of Birchmere - corner of Howell & Mt. Vernon) Immediately after leaving Birchmere (assume doors close there at 10:15 or so), turn left out of parking lot, be careful going through lights as lanes shift. Go exactly 1 mile to Evening Star at corner of Howell & Mt.Vernon. Bartender Sloan knows we are coming. Hope they will play some Feat for us. Last call extended to midnight if we show up en masse.

Well, John S. taped it, cuz I gots me a copy of it! Man! What a show.
If you'd like a copy, mosey on over to the "tape trading" section.
ps - John, I'm looking for the specifics on the recording and transfer. If you can provide, it would be a great thing.
