I'm hoping to make my way south at the end of April to the show at the Blue Note in Columbia. Anybody know anything about the venue? Is there a meet and great in the works or am I jumping the gun? Also, is anyone planning on taping the show and, if so, could I work out a BnP on it?
Thanks,
TB

I am doing the run to Columbia and I know for sure that a certain Blue Plate Special DJ will be taping.....so no problem. As far as the venue, I have not been there before, but if you subscribe to the Hoy Hoy Digest, there are several folks who can tell you about it. I have been told it is a really nice old restored theater and a cool venue. Lotsa big names come through there. Later -

I'm taking my daughter (who lives in Columbia) to her 1st Feat concert so I'm looking forward to that. She's caught other acts at the Blue Note and said that it was a good place for music.
Keep in touch, Maytag, 'cause I'll be jonesin' for the BnP as soon as you can process the 1s and 0s.

Hoys! My wife Karen and I will be at the show. We saw them last time, and it was exceptionally good. We're also trying to get some college students interested....new blood, ya know! I've been to a number of concerts at the Blue Note, and the shows are consistently good. However, I would characterize the venue as a former theater rather than a restored one. If it were a horse, I'd say its been "rode hard and put away wet" if you know what I mean. Cool chandeliers, though Can we sign up for a copy of the show? We don't have burning capabilities, but will try to assist in any other way, if necessary.

If you need a copy after the deal goes down, I'd be happy to do a Bnp once my disks are in my grubby little hands. E-mail me off list to set something up.
