Hoys to All! I had a thought today. (Tried to dodge it but stumbled; it hit me dead-on.) As a way to welcome the band back from their trip to Hawaii, and a way to express our desire to likewise avoid dreary winter for a week, let's all wear Hawaiian shirts to the Northwest shows during March.
Bellingham, Wa on the coast near Canada, is scenic enough to help anyone unwind, and is the scene of the Feat's first mainland gig after Hawaii, at the Mount Baker Theatre on the 9th. So let's go tropical! Next to Seattle for four blistering sets in two nights, at a 230 seat (pricey, but worth it) dinner theater. Asian fusion-influenced menu meets little-umbrella cocktails meets Polynesian shirts meets Da Feat (not you, Ginger!) for a spicy good time... Portland, at the Roseland Theater, is Saturday's gig. Either the Feat or the first act is at 9 PM. A seating chart seems to indicate a large seats-removed area on the main floor, with side bleachers and a balcony for reserved seating. I've not been in either theater. But six shows in four days? How sick is that?
I know that in these tropical shirts we're aping the parrot-heads, but even Buffet fans can be right once in a while. Becides, Paul recorded with him so he's got to be OK... Once the dancing begins the shirts get ditched anyway to reveal the tasty Little Feat T-shirts worn underneath. I don't know about anybody else, but I wish I was in Hawaii right now, so I'll be wearing tropical in Seattle for sure, and Bellingham if I don't work. See some of you soon! from Glenn, Seattle POC
