oh boy !! FEAT back in Hawaii !! living here in Kona, it was 'easy' (tix number 1-2 to the show) to catch them last time around, in 2003, at the Kona Brew Pub 'Oasis'. this time we'll get a 'road trip' included for driving all the way over to the other side of the island, to Hilo ... don't know where Sangha Hall is but easy to find - yeah, OH BOY !! a FEAT Blessing in my near future...... !!

What Luck!! Wife, Melanie and I just happen to be traveling to the Big Island for a vacation and the Featsters follow. I contacted Blue Rooster Productions, Les Hershhorn for tix for the Hilo show at Sangha Hall and await their arrival. From what I gather the Sangha Hall is part of a Buddist Temple complex??

yes, I believe that Sangha Hall is in a Buddist Complex. when I checked the web site it had Buddist related activity info. however, I know that Los Lobos played there a few months ago so music things do in fact happen there! and paulw has tix on the way!! oh boy....

Just found out about the show here on Maui. THANK YOU FOR COMING BACK!!!!
Real music is hard to come by in these parts and the band was great last time here at the MACC.
A friend of mine just moved to the Big Island and I just forwarded the info about the Hilo show to him.
I managed to clear March 4th with both of my jobs and will definitely see you during your visit. It sure would be great to be able to get recordings of the Hawaii shows!

Fantastic! Little Feat inHilo! Now I don't have to drive across the island to Kona for a show! (like 2 years ago) Thanks Feat for listening!!!
Here's some info on the venue: Sangha Hall is right in Downtown Hilo (actually just at the edge of it but downtown is soooo small you wouldn't notice) It is the special events bldg for the Buddist Church: Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin: 398 Kilauea Ave, Hilo, 96720 which is next door. It is a concrete & steel bldg with a basketball court in the middle and a stage at the very end (somewhat like a schools multi-purpose gym, auditorium, cafeteria) I've been to lots of parties there (baby luaus, etc). Los Lobos and Ziggy Marley have played there in the very recent past. They only recently allowed promoters to rent it out. Not too many big places in Hilo to see a show. (that can be a good thing!)
Hope to see you all there!

And to all those stateside Feat fans, just reading this topic and _wishing_ they could be there, let's Welcome The Band Back {WTBB} by wearing Hawaiian shirts to their shows. Especially the Northwest shows in March.

yeah, Big Alohas to the band!! wondering if anyone has info regarding opening acts? last time in Kona (2003) there were 3 others before da Feats came on .... way too long to wait if you live Big Island and are basically FEAT starved ... well, it is a blessing that they have been here 2-times past 2 years so pls minimize my complaint....
anybody have idea who's up at showtime 7:30 ??
and what a great place Cronies for pre-show gig - great! mushroom cheeseburgers and Hilo beer (Mehana) on tap!!

islebull,
The Hilo show is listed to start at 7:00 with no opening act. I haven't heard any different and these times are straight form the horse's mouth.

My info doesn't say anything about a opening band?? Thank John Hamilton for the Cronies idea. I'm just following orders. I'll be interested in hearing about tonights show at the Pipeline. We can't wait to be in Hawaii. 48 hrs. and counting. ;D

Indeed Rick is correct. I was going on what was printed on my tickets before. Maybe a bit earlier than 5pm at Cronies for the get together?

ahh ... thanks to all for the responses.
meanwhile, the wife called the phone number on our tickets (808-896-4845) and got some info. according to the gent on the phone, An Evening With Little Feat -- -no opening band -no alcohol served, local style food and softdrinks will be tho. -folding chairs and a 'dance' floor -he also said 7:30 as do my tix.
maybe better check once more for start, tomorrow.

Always the wise oprtion. ANYONE going to a show should check with the venue. It's the sure fire way to be in the know. Things change and sometimes the site might not get a chance to post the change.
You and the wife have a ball!
