My wife & I were at the 1st trip but not the second. We were wondering how the hotel compared to Braco which we thought was fabulous.

My wife and I liked GL Negril better than Braco, and the Little Feat concerts on the beach were the ultimate! The facilities seemed a little nicer. Some people I've spoken to did like Braco better, but I think you'll be happy at GL Negril. One thing, when you're at the Negril resort, you're about 5 minutes away from an open air market where the locals sell arts, crafts and clothing.

thanks to tenntwister & featphoto. tenntwisters response was what I thought I'd hear. The one thing i noticed about Negril on the virtual tour is no swim up bar. I spent a lot of time at the one in Braco. As for the produce at the market. I am always ready to buy good produce.

I liked the "Town Square" layout at Braco better than the mall-type reception area in Negril, but beyond that I'd have to go with Mac and say that the gigs on the beach put Negril above Braco. Chilling your toes in the Caribbean and your throat with a Red Stripe thirty feet from a majestic Feat performance is just the sweetest feeling of wellbeing! Sailing is better too! It's a wide shallow bay (Bloody Bay!!), and definitely a more interesting view. Food, accommodation and atmosphere were great on both occasions. Can't wait for the next one.
