Carbuncle n. 1. a painful circumscribed inflammation of the subcutaneous tissue, resulting in suppuration and sloughing, and having a tendency to spread (somewhat like a boil, but more serious in its effects). Oh my ...well at least "he did some good work after the show", but i'm not askin what kind!

I was very curious about how LF would fare as the opening act for ABB...knowing that if I went to the show the best part of it would be the Feat !! Now to get a more objective view I went to the ABB website where they have a message board that is very, very active and most always has reviews the day after the band plays. Sure enough there was a thread on their board on Friday with several postings....one of which came from a guy whose surname is UNCLEJON75. This ABB fan has been posting on their message board since June, 2003 and in that period of time he has posted 4,659 times....or about 9 times per day!! Obviously very much into ABB!! Part of his posting said: [glow=red,2,300]Even though I love the Brothers the highlight of the evening was Little Feat....they rocked the house.[/glow] I had the pleasure of going to see LF the next night in Danville, VA!! In spite of rainfall that put a damper on this semi-outdoor venue, the Feat rocked the night away for 2 hours!!

hey farmboy. thanks for checking out the ABB site and sharing that with us. i really enjoyed the 'bros, and a couple of their tunes really did rock, but i gotta agree with the guy - highlight was FEAT rockin' the house! a lot more energy and more dancin' type fun. it's all good.
glad you guys got to danville to see a full set rockin' in the rain show. there's a lot of small market places like danville that would easily sell out a Feat bill twice a year that they don't get to. but boy, when they do - look out!
cheers, bfb

So I guess I'll post my bit of drivel here. Myself and three very good friends of mine (Steve, Steve and Karen, you know who you are) attended the show. Being a huge fan of both bands I was quite excited about this particular show. I was really hoping Warren would join Feat for a tune or 2 and vice versa. Unfortunately it did not happen. We were able to see the show from the stage, thanks to Bert for passes and it was an awesome site. I also must say that Billy and Paul were really cool for chatting with us after the show as well as lending us some photo ops. I only wish the Bros had been as accomomdating (must be that rock star thing). We were able to meet Shaun as well and this lady is as sweet as advertised.
It was a smoking hot set by Feat and a decent set by the Bros. I do think Feat was cut a bit short as an opener. Maybe should have been a co-bill (at miniumum) and Feat should have had another 30 minutes to smoke Nissan. Overall, it was a very good night and I look forward to another one of these gigs.

Thanks to Chris Cafiero two additional Feat shows from the summer tour are now available for downloading: 8/19/04 Live from the Power Plant in Baltimore, MD and 9/30/04 Live from the Nissan Pavillon, Bristow, VA. You can get them from the hoyhoy server via ftp at hoyhoy.dyndns.org - if you need the login and password - drop me a note with your IP address (even if it's dynamic). Determine your IP address by going to www.whatismyip.com. Or get them via bit torrent -- The 8/19/04 show can be downloaded at: www.easytree.org/torrents-details.php?id=12017The 9/30/04 show can be downloaded at: www.easytree.org/torrents-details.php?id=12023
