You might want to contact the POC for the show. They may have information that you are looking for. www.poccentral.comGA falls under the Southeast region.

This show is at a decent outdoor venue, very family friendly, more or less to the east of Atlanta. I think the music will start at noon or 1pm, and Little Feat will close the event. 5 years ago they played here and ended at 7pm I think. Some info is here, and tickets will go on sale 8/27: atlanta.citysearch.com/profile/11552960/?ulink=profile_21_eventlisting_4___profile__1That page also includes links to the Stone Mtn Park website, which has directions and more info, not much on the Chili Cook Off yet though. see ya there Mac

Hoys of Featarecomingsoonocity to all...
We are only 12 days away from the Stone(d) Mountain Chili Cook-Off show. The scheduled hours for the entire event are 10 am to 7 pm. Feat are scheduled to dazzle the crowd from 3:30 to 5:00. Tickets are $8.00 (such a deal, no?) and children under 12 are free.
I have heard from, and am expecting the following out of town special guests...
Jim & Darcy Fangman Jerry & Diane - Official Keepers of the Far Bar Sign. (Yes they are bringing it). Tennessee Mack & Vicky. The Honorable Defender of The State of Alabama Jim Porter. Greg Pierce.
AND - I've just heard this morning from a VERY SPECIAL out-of-town MYSTERY guest who will be flying down for this very special occasion. SHE is a very special and unique Feat Fan who is loved by all she comes in contact with. I am excited she will be coming down to join us. More news to follow.
If anyone else is coming, or if you are and I forgot you, please let me know.
Get ready for a Cadillac - uh - afternoon?!
Cheerio...
Scott

This was posted to the hoyhoy digest in response to a question and I thought it would be appropriate to post it here too. I know I'll be seeing a lot of you there. I still don't know of anyone coming capable of doing a board recording. My local taper contact seems to have moved. Here's hoping... ------------------------------------ I'm sure there is more likelihood of post-show shenanigans as opposed to pre-show. For pre-show we will hopefully be bopping around tasting all the good food at the Chili Cook-Off. There are a lot of folks coming from out of town and they will be arriving at all kinds of different times. As for tickets - it will likely be easiest to just buy your tickets as you enter the park. They are advertising $8.00 for adults, children 12 and under free. Some useful links... The web site for the CCO itself... www.atlantachilicookoff.com/The Stone(d) Mountain web site page for this event... www.stonemountainpark.com/newsite/special_detail.asp?Event_ID=28Stone(d) Mountain web page somewhat useful maps... www.stonemountainpark.com/newsite/parkinfo_maps.aspIf anyone feels they need my cell phone number, please email me privately. My son Will & I will be there early to help Denny with setup and stuff. Weather forecast is still for 30% chance of rain with highs around 80. Feel free to check www.weather.com and key in zip code 30334 if you want further updates. Also please note the time change I posted earlier. Feat are now scheduled to take the stage at 4:50 pm and play a 90 minute set. See y'all there... Scott
