Having bought my ticket some months ago I made my way to Wolverhampton to see the Feats for the first time. Being familiar with their music over the years, I was certain I was going to be in for the experience of a lifetime. Unfortunately on the night the band suffered from an atrocious miscarriage of justice via the sound system. For the majority of the gig there was little or no definition between the instruments and the vocals were barely audible. I have to say there was a gradual improvement as the night wore on and the less energetic numbers came over a lot better. Overall though the band played as I expected them to and I tried to get off on their obvious ability and enthusiasm for their music. However, what could have been a night to remember will go down, for me and many other more dedicated fans of the band than myself, as one of some disappointment.
I have seen some great gigs at the Civic Hall and I know that a great sound can be achieved there, with the right rig and a good sound man. Please take this on board because we want to see you again sounding the way we know you can.
