Please post to let others know what happened, how the crowds liked the band, what songs they played, etc.
Thanks. Mac

Well,
I´ve been in Hamburg yesterday evening in the Fabrik.
Great concert and I was lucky that I´ve been there. Though the sound was terrible. I guess the reason was the venue; the voice of Paul nearly couldn´t be heard.
They played about 2 hours - with a special guest, a harmonica player but because of the bad sound I didn´t get his name (a German, I guess). He played some nice harmonica parts during Dixie Chicken.
The audience loved them all and I guess the band was quite satisfied with us, right ?
My favs were One clear moment, Fat man in the bathtub and Willing (as an encore). I missed Time loves a hero and long distance love (my personal favs).
Great event, great that I have been there.
Anyone else ?

Hi bathtubman,
I was there as well - I came over all the way from Paris/France to see the show. Well, not really. My folks live in the Hamburg region and I came over to pay them a visit *and* to see the show.
You are right, the sound was really awful. It can't be the venue - which, by the way, is one of my favourite places - as I have seen many shows there in the past with excellent sound. It is probably the sound system they had to use, probably the feat can't drag around their own stuff all around Europe.
Anyway, it was a really great show. The friends I brought who did not know the band at all were very impressed. One of them said, "Now *that's* what I'd call music!" :-)
I particularly enjoyed "Just Another Sunday" and would not have minded "Long Distance Love" either, for one because I love the song and otherwise because I thought towards the end of the show Shaun could have been involved a little more. Was it you who shouted "Time Love's a Hero" in the back?
Towards the end there was maybe a little bit too much of guitar noodling (and I'm a guitarist myself), but admittedly the subtleties of the soloing got a bit lost in the muddy sound.
"Willin' / Bogart" was wonderful, though.
So in all it was a great experience, and I hope we will not have to wait as long for the next European tour!
Cheers
Karsten

Oh, and another thing: during one of the jams Bill briefly "quoted" from his "Gringo" song. I really, really would love to hear that song in its full splendor again. Didn't Kenny say he thought it was Bill's best (in the liner notes of the Hoy Hoy album)? I certainly agree!

No, I sat about 10 m away from the stage. Where were you ?
Who was this wonderful harmonica player during Dixie Chicken ? I didn´t get Pauls words (sound !).
