Just got my tickets in the mail ;D I've never been to the Casino - the web site shows what appears to be a beautiful showroom. Anyone been there for a show? We plan to camp. Any suggestions?

been there many times. saw feat there twice, once as a guest of the band (don't ask, long story) ....it's a beautiful place, if you have a table seat, they are a bit cramped...best seats are the booths....can't go wrong with the balcony booths tons of room....camping?? what are you looking for - state park - private campground with electric, etc - other.....there is a state park in rome,ny (12 miles away or about 20 minutes) it's name is Delta Lake State Park reservations at reserveamerica.com.... another choice, the casino has two camp grounds of their own, Villages RV Park - it is one mile from the casino, high end camping, motorhomes and such....they also have one about 4 miles from the casino Peaceful Pines - it's a little more secluded....been to both either is nice depending upon your style. Go to the turning-stone.com web site, under accomodations, RV PARKS and the info is there...hope that helped.....i just saw feat at TAGS in big flats two weeks ago.....fine show...later

well, the room is tacky in a gold gilt and red velvet kinda way ... more suited to Don Ho or Wayne Newton ... tables in front, horseshoe banquettes half way back, more seating rising towards the back. huge deep stage, Feat kinda floats around in the middle of it. not sure if this has changed, but it used to be a dry casino: i.e. no liquor sales on the property. there's a motel associated with the place across the highway from it that's pretty reasonably priced (stayed there twice or 3 times so far).

gotta remember it's a casino show so the venue wants you to get out there and gamble....that said ...from what i remember the last two shows feat have played there have been about two hours long....10 PM is about as long as bands are allowed to play......

in my experience casino shows are ~90 minutes with little extra time ... the two Verona shows I have run a hair over 90 minutes each.

I figured the show would be pretty short but wanted to be sure. It looks like this show a no-go for me. (trying to see if the bold lettering works)
