Just got back from the Feat show at the Colonial Theater in Idaho Falls. Two sets, well more than two hours of music. I don't have a complete set list, but they did a fantastic Willin' medley for the encore, mixing in some Dead and Band. Met the band before the show and had all seven sign my old vinyl copy of Dixie Chicken (on the back next to their pictures -- Fred's listed as an "appearing musician"). Shaun's not on the LP, of course, but was a good sport and signed it, too. I'd never heard "Fighting the Mosquito Wars" live -- Bill and Shaun sang a great duet.
Others in the sets -- Hate to Lose Your Lovin', MIghty Rad Gumbo, Rocke in My Pocket, Under the Radar, Long Distance Love, Fat Man, Spanish Moon/Skin it Back, Cold, Cold, Cold. I'm missing some. Sound was a little off in the beginning (couldn't hear Shaun well) but got better by the third song or so. Great crowd -- about 850 or so. Feat's first visit to our town. The theater has great acoustics -- band sounded fantastic.
Reduced some of their longer jams but went from song to song without stopping, except for instrument changes. Great, great stuff. I hope to catch them again before this tour's over.

Thanks for the Review! 850 on a Tuesday night in Idaho!? Not too shabby!

Yes, 850 isn't bad, not quite a sellout. Venue is a little stuffy for jammin', but the band pulled it off. Never been in finer form. Still amazes me how they can change the set list every single night. Like the director of the theater said, "I haven't seen this many men with pony tails in one place since the sixties."

All right, Roger! Thanks for helping out at the show, and thanks for posting the details. The entire setlist may be posted at FeatBase. Having fans like you show up really means a lot to the band.

Funny pre-show story. I got this brilliant idea to pick up a couple of bottles of Idaho's finest native product -- potato vodka distilled just up the road from us (Teton Glacier and Blue Ice, if any of you are looking) -- as a gift. Kenny intercepted us at the door to the meet & greet, accepted the liquor, and suggested some of it might go to the crew, since three of the Feat are on the wagon. They were all good sports and very gracious, posing for pictures, doing autographs just before the show. Anyway, I hosted about 20 folks from my staff at the show, most of whom had never heard the feat before. I've received much thanks today. One guy described them as "kind of like the Dead, only real musicians."
