7-12-04 the band performs in Wolverhampton Civic Hall! If you're joining the festivities, post your messages here.
Good place to organize a meet and greet for the fans before or after the gig.
If anyone has hotel recommendations or such, here's the place for them..

I've just put a message up on the general discussion board about looking forward to this gig. I should have read all forums first! Yeah, my wife and I (and some friends) will be driving down from Manchester for the show and we'd be happy to meet up with some other Feat fans. I may bore you nutless with stories of the '74 (or was it '73?) Warner Brothers Tour when the band nearly took the roof off Manchester Free Trade Hall, but just smile, give me a drink and patronise me a while and I'll be fine. Give me a mail on 10107029@edgehill.ac.uk and we'll sort something out.

At this early stage, I have no idea what may be required, but this is a great time for any of you planning on going to these shows to visit www.poccentral.com to find out what we do to help the band and their tour manager Denny Jones. I won't go into great detail - some of you know already about this. Sometimes there are a few small things to do, sometimes more substantial things. You can get the flavor of it at the POC Central site - read the checklist and the FAQ. Please sign up. Clay Ogden will set up the Europe dates on the Region Map (click on the globe at the bottom of the map page) soon. One thing that really helps is to have knowledgable Feat fans around to answer questions about CDs that might be offered for sale, or just to answer the other showgoers' general questions about the band. It is also comforting to the band to see a few friendly and even familiar faces when they are trotting around the globe - folks who know the area, decent places to eat, the sights, etc. This is part of what Little Feat Fans Grassroots is all about - there's no reason to confine it to the US. Hi everyone going to Wolverhampton and/or London. I`m Emma,me and my partner Gary and our best mate Webby(all Featnuts) are attending both shows. I was actually born in Wolverhampton, but left in 84, so dont know much about the place now,but I can tell you that theres a multi storey carpark kindof across the street, and a very nice pub selling good beer across the street and round the corner,(dont go to the Little Civic bar its a rip off and has no atmosphere). London....OOerr..we`re coming from Cornwall..scary stuff, glad i`m not driving.

If there are any UK tapers going to this show or the 7/13 Astoria show, can you try to also tape the moe. shows. I like moe. almost as much as Little Feat. It would be nice to get the whole night on tape. I would bet there might be some jamming between the two bands.

Hi guys, just booked my ticket (Table OO) my coach ticket, and my hotel room (Brittannia). Woo hoo!! Any news yet of pre/post gig meet ups? Anybody know which hotel the band are staying at? I'm Gary, by the way, and I run the Little Feat Covers Annexe at www.featcovers.com. It is currently under redesign, but if you take a look, you'll get the idea. Look forward to meeting you all in one week's time!

We were looking forward to the show so much. Travelled down from Liverpool. Great venue great idea with the tables, but....... the sound was terrible. So muffled and echoy. Had a word with the guy on the mixer desk. He said it was bad acoustics not him. Plenty of other bands play there, the acoustics can't be that bad. There were people who had come a lot further than Liverpool. We spoke to a couple from York who were so disappointed with the sound. Does any one agree?

Totally 100% agree that he sound was pretty grim, sorry you travelled from Liverpool to hear it. I am a big feat fan, as I am sure you must be and the fact they were appearing 5 miles up the road from where I live made it the most eagerly awaited show of the year. Boy the band were cooking, but the sound left me almost feeling glad when it was over, but deflated for the same reason, particularly as I had dragged a few friends who werent really feat fans along to show them how good they were. Dont get me wrong, the band were tight and hot and It was great that they played some songs I havent heard live ever- thanks go to the band for mixing the set up a bit. I am sure it is the hall accoustics at fault, not the mixer, as I think the sound improved as the night got on (or did I just get used to it!). Its been years since I last went to the Civic Hall, and this was a reminder of why it has been- and will be years before I venture in there again!. Had a similar problem with poor sound at the NIA two weeks ago for Bonny Raitt, so as an inspired idea we came up to Liverpool to see her in the tented arena for summer pops, what a show, the sound was great and the atmosphere was brilliant. Pity the Feat werent in europe two weeks earlier, both on the same bill would have been incredible.
So- no it wasnt only you, and I am sure it can't have been only us two either! Regards, Alan

Look at my post (European thread) - we agreed there too that the sound was awful (in Hamburg).
I fear I must say that the reason seems to be not the venue.
