Okay, I love Little Feat, you love Little Feat, we all LOVE LITTLE FEAT......
who else floats your boat, makes you move, and gets you excited enough to talk about???
i'll start: The Subdudes - reformed and rockin'. What harmonies! Bonnie Raitt - no brainer. She blew us away at Jazzfest'04 The Iguanas - listen to Plastic Silver 9 Volt Heart John Eddie - Who the Hell is John Eddie? you may ask. Funny, talented and rocks hard a la springsteen. Springsteen - great songwriter! John Hiatt - I'd travel far to see him (and have!) Jesse Winchester - Great singer/songwriter. The Radiators - boy can they play. groovalicious swamp funk. Lucinda Williams - songwriter with wrenching emotion.
your turn-

Bob, Bob, greetings to Katie and your good self! Seems like all your choices are living, while too many of my faves are dead!?! But here goes anyway:
John McLaughlin -- tried and trusted over 30 years Susan Tedeschi -- recently discovered her, just love it! Al Green -- the sweeeeetest voice ever
and the dearly departed
Miles -- he just aches with soul Bill Evans -- says it like you want to say it Jeff Buckley -- brief but luminous and Robert Palmer, who lived a musical life we less gifted Yorkshiremen can admire
And that ain't to sat there ain't others who can tug on the joystrings! Why, even Brahms Violin Concerto in D Minor has been known to stir the sap! Hoyhoy, Nog

OOOOhhhh! I am so jealous. The streaming list is very high technology. We who are relegated to the backwaters of America bow down!!
Anyhow, Stevie Ray Vaughn and all who play a blues axe; Bonnie Raitt, Allman Bros, and anything with Charlie Parker playing.

Hey TB. That little marquee thingie is easy. That double row of buttons above the smiley's? Those place HTML tags that make it easy to gussy up your posts. Just experiment with what happens in your post when you click one. The marquee one is the <-M button in the top row. Click it and you get the HTML begining tag, TEXT, Ending Tag placed where ever you have your curser in the message area. Cut and paste what ever you want over the TEXT and you're on the move Place your curser before the TEXT marker and pick a color and it adds the tags for that. Once you do a couple you'll get the idea.... Now I've done it! ;D

Yeah, Dave, don't temp the fates by placing high technology in the hands of an amateur. Old testament catastrophes could result.
Thanks for the heads-up on the stream.

Coming up this Thursday is my 1st concert with Little Feat and after getting the High Wire Act DVD and watching it a trillion times I couldn't get anymore excited!! Til now my most favorite live act has been Honky Tonk Blues ledgend - Delbert McClinton!! This guy is over 64 years old and gave John Lennon tips on how to play the harmonica.....and yet he is still turning out award winning new music!! He's the 2002 Grammy winner for Best Contemporary Blues - Nothing Personal and was nominated for the same award in 2003 for Room to Breathe!! He's a great songwriter and singer, but he's backed by a terrific band that includes Don Wise on saxaphone, Rob McNelley on guitar and one terrific keyboard player, Kevin McKendree. They must play 200 gigs a year in relatively small venues, so check out the website - www.delbert.com and find out when they'll be near you.....you won't regret it!!!

wow - that would be a dream come true for me to see my two favorite bands on the same stage. And then to have James Brown show up for Diggin' on James Brown would just be icing!
Although I did get to meet JB last summer (well, it was actually my 3 yr old son that JB requested to come back stage and meet - I just got to tag along!) And then Emilio (TOP) loved seeing the pic of JB, my son and me that we showed him later that summer. We will be seeing TOP later this summer but unfortunately Feat isn't hitting Oregon this summer (my son has also met Richie, Paul, Shaun, etc. . . . he still talks about Shaun ALOT! LOL ) I think he is quite taken with her!
I don't know how he manages to do it, but somehow my son (4 now) gets invited backstage to every concert we've taken him to - I hope it happens when we go see Jonny Lang later this summer too!
