As an FYI...I tried the 4-disk jewel cases previously mentioned (from Cyberguys.com) and while they are nice they do not provide a way to include covers or trays so they are a wash as far as I am concerned. The 2-disk jewel cases ARE useful though.
Just thought you might like to know before you part with any of the precious green.

I ran across this rather length post recently. www.taperssection.com/yabbse/index.php?board=1;action=display;threadid=18334 It has to do with wheather it's a good idea to write on the face of CDr media, and some other general info related to the medium as an archiving material. Good food for thought... FWIW, I haven't written on my disc faces for quite a while, but moreso out of a general desire to not ruffle any feathers down the line than a real fear of damage as I use only Sharpie brand perm. markers. See ya!

I am using plastic shoe boxes.. single paper sleeves, double light plastic sleeves for 2 cd shows.. If there is artwork, I tend to move towards single, double or (amdig) Trislim cases..
I use the freeware Wintaper to catalog.. not going as far as to catalig the actual songs..
I did buy a Casio 75 CD labeller butt he tape cartridges make it expensive to print every on every one.. I use it for "special cases.
Lastly, I burn my CDs in WAV so they can be playted anywhere..
As for security, I use multiple hard drives for my downloads, always trying to avoid keeping the files (or other needed data ) on the C drive..
