To All in the Cheesesteak Capital -
I am the POC of the 3/17 show at the Keswick. I am not from the Philly area, so I am happy to take advice from the natives.
The Keswick has a bar in the theater that opens 1 hour befor the show, and they also recommend "Plush", a martini bar across the street. They stay open until 2 AM, so that might be a good after show spot.
I hope there are some folks willing to celebrate our national "Everyone is Irish Today" holiday, so a fun post-concert spot should be a must.
I would also appreciate any helpers that might be interested, it sounds like this should be a nice concert, so we should do the "Feat-thang" right.
Please contact me off list if you can help. Thanks in advance, and sound off with your suggestions!

To Feat First - Sure Do! Thanks for the offer. I'll contact you off line.
Word has it that only single seats are left. The show is scheduled for 8 PM, no word from the theater that this is wrong. RC Marc reports that Sonny is opening and big shew and joining the band on stage later. This should be a real treat!
The pre and post get together will be at Plushes, across the street from the theater. Lot's of good eating within a block or two of the theater. There's an award winning hoagie place a few doors away from Plushes, although Plushes is reported to have good food for a reasonable price. Also pizza and other options in the area. Plushes is expecting a crowd from us, so let's not disappoint...
The Keswick Theater is the best place to find accommodations if you're looking to spend the night. We found a better rate through the Keswick than through cheaptickets.com. The hotels are several miles away, but easy to find.
Looking forward to seeing everyone on "everyone's Irish day". Till then, Aint' Had Enough Fun!

This my first time on this forum,or any others. I have 2 tickets to the 3/17/06 show with sonny landreth, it was to be the start of my vacation, can't go. I live in New Hampshire so it hasn't worked trying to get rid of them here. Do You know how I might make them available to someone that can? They are row p left, seat 17 & 19 which are together.

Howdy Riddim! Havin' trouble gettin' riddimum? ::) Sorry, seriously ... welcome. This is exactly where to get your tickets into the hands of someone who will appreciate them. I don't need them yet ... but if nobody else contacts you first ... I might very well need them. Moral of the story ... you won't get stuck for the cost on top of not being able to see the show. Bad enough to be sure. Mostly sorry you won't make it ... but glad you found the place. I'll bet ya the cost of those tickets someone here will be in touch. Peace, T

hey, riddim, sent you a PM over the weekend about the tickets. Have you already found someone to buy them? My guess is he has just read posts without loggin in. He also mentions that this is his first time joining a list (the PM reference could be lost.) Now where am I gonna sit? S'ok ... I don't sit much. T

Ya know, we don't sit much either..actually in Jamaica we never sat for any of the evening concerts, so I am so ok with that. It's just that I wanted to be able to get inside the theatre to dance instead of in the middle of the lobby, ya know

As per a wise and thoughtful archivist, there is road construction on Rt 309
In his own words:
to {the] folks coming to the Keswick show
rt. 309 which connects Glenside w/ the Penn TP is under heavy construction w/ some areas down to one lane and most important is that the exit for Easton Road has changed, so follow the new signs carefully or you'll miss the exit for Easton Rd off of 309.
Thanks to Chris for the heads up! See all y'all there!

thanks for the info.. For those of you/us who are WXPN members, Ben Harper is at the free at noon concert on the 17th. I think you have to be a member to get in but if you aren't and are interested go to www.wxpn.org

Well, it's hard to say anything but awesome things about this place. The set up is fantastic, the fans were stoked, the band was hot, and I got to stand next to a tatooed roller derby queen/accountant all night (not Trish). How could it be any better?
The stars were in alignment, and everyone felt it. Sonny had an awesome opening show. If you have Grant Street, that was it. But it was LIVE and MAHVAHLOUS!
When Sonny joined our gang for Let It Roll to open the show, the house almost burned down. How's a standing ovation (1500 people) for the 1st song sound? Awesome.
As Paco wrote earlier, a great set list with a great performance. Pick your favorite song, I dare ya.
I would assume that the cast of "Usual Suspects" was here, but I remember talking with Tanya, Paco & Saul and their much improved halves, Steve, Marc, Sanki, Chris, Scarlett and Harvey, and a slew of others that I have either forgotten or don't rememebr their names, so my apologies.
I did not get the final tally, but we were over $5000 in merch sales. There are a lot of better dressed Phillians today after all the shirts we sold.
Special thanks go out to Pat and Phil Atkins, who did an incredible job their first time out in the merch booth. And of course, my lovely wife Trish who is always willing to bail me out. The band is a little better off today because of the great work they did last night. And no, they never got to their seats.
Here's the set list, to best of my ability.
Let It Roll - with Sonny Landreth Rag Mama Rag Rocket In My Pocket Honest Man Time Loves a Hero > Day Or Night Feels Like Rain All That You Dream Cadillac Hotel Fat Man > Gringo > Get Up Stand Up > Fat Man
E- Chicken > Tennesee Jed > IDWT Telephone TMTD Tease > Chicken
Thanks to all for a great show. Our next stop, York, PA
Over and Out.

8*)
Thanks Everybody! Smart guy said what? ...
-If we had no faults of our own, we would not take so much pleasure in noticing those of others.
-Why is it that our memory is good enough to retain the least triviality that happens to us, and yet not good enough to recollect how often we have told it to the same person? 8*)
-The height of cleverness is to be able to conceal it.
-Small minds are much distressed by little things. Great minds see them all but are not upset by them.
-Jealousy feeds upon suspicion, and it turns into fury , or it ends , as soon as we pass from suspicion to certainty
-He who lives without folly isn't so wise as he thinks.
-It is often merely for an excuse that we say things are impossible. Francois de La Rochefoucauld French author & moralist (1613 - 1680)
I love you ALL ... appearently ... there's nothing you can do about that.
