Hoys to all, Bill's new solo release entitled Cielo Norte is due for release in early 2005. I've been priveledged to be able to participate in the construction of the website for the release. Working with Bill is always a pleasure and ends up taking me places I'd of never got to without him. For those of you who want to check out the new website, read the liner notes for the new release and hear some sound samples of the tracks, point your browsers to: www.billpaynemusic.com. We're still fine tuning as we go along but we thought ya'll might like a sneak peak. Enjoy... Regards, Rick

Nancy and I rode the harrowing bus ride with Billy and Cheryl from the airport to Grand Lido Negril last year. I asked Bill when he was finally going to finish his "project". He said "hopefully this year" (2004). It looks like it's done. I'd love to get a copy in Jamaica this year. If not, we'll scarf it up it the conventional way.
Congratulations and still watchin' them planes,
Jim Schaughency

Rick,
First of all let me say thank you for setting up Bill's web site, it is great. However, I can't get the reply button to work in the forum, now I'm not saying it is not working as I'm a computer idiot, but I could use some help. What am I doing wrong? I hid a message in my inbox (saved) that was supposed to go on the Equipement thread as a reply to Keybouy, if you get time could you transfer it there for me? Sorry for being an idiot.
Thanks Peace

Hey Jashley: I've had problems with the reply buttons from time to time as well...somedays they work, and others they don't. The latest problem I'm having is even getting into the site. It seems my browser gets 'stuck' trying to open the site. Have you been there in the last few days? I've been trying for a week now Take care and I'm looking forward to hearing this thing! dc

Hey! The site looks even better than it did before the minor technical difficulties! Great work Mr. Webmaster, and thanks ;D. Now all you have to do is list some Ontario dates on the tour for '05, and I'll stop whining (wink)!
Cheers,
dc

I continue to enjoy Cielo Norte' as are all the cuban woman I work with!!! Sometimes I think I am hearing Steeley Dan influences, Sometimes I hear the influences of Weather Report, and I get so excited because those are groups I grew up with too. Now it could be that they were influenced by Mr. Bill Payne, so excuse me if I got that wrong. All I know is that it really is a mastered technicians creation, and I am so glad I have it. I have seen Little Feat "live" more this year than I have in my lifetime, and the one thought I had after the Wycoff show was how insanely great it was at front stage level listening to Bill Payne play piano!!!!!! See life can get better after 50. Go figure.
