Shaun, I meant to ask you in Jamaica...but I had used up my allotment of questions with Sam Bush and Paul....so here goes: How fun is it to be out front with Little Feat? How do you pick out people in the audience to make eye contact with? How do you make everyone feel like you're singing just for them? What's cooking in Nashville? Inquiring minds want to know See you in May backflip bob

Hello Shaun... my question is . The last three or four times I have seen the band do Fatman I noticed that you no longer pick up the mike.. I expected this at the Rams Head due to lack of head room but in Jamaica it was a starry sky overhead so............. should we not expect to see you do this again or is it going to be a "let's see how I feel at show time" decision?

Thanks for writing you guys!
How fun is it to be out front with Little Feat? It's a huge surge of energy, I'll tell you. All the guys are legends and it's humbling to be here.
How do you pick out people in the audience to make eye contact with? It's not a calculated thing, sometimes certain faces jump out, I try to move around to include as many folks as I can, I figure, you wouldn't be there, if you didn't love the music.
How do you make everyone feel like you're singing just for them? GOOD! Because I do feel I'm singing to everyone. I try to touch as many hands as I can, and maybe send out the love we all feel for our fans. You guys are why we are here, and we don't want to lose touch with that.
What's cooking in Nashville? Piero's taking care of that, getting ready to go back on the road with Steve Azar sometime this Summer, you can check out his up coming schedule at: steveazar.com they're in studio now finishing up the new CD.
better yet ... how 'bout the BUS? Cheri!!!! I liken it to being in a traveling boys locker room, I'll just let your minds wander a bit......Time's up.....
To tell the truth, Bill felt that it was time to 'retire' it, I had to agree, sometimes it starts to feel 'contrived' instead of and energy thing.
Thanks again for your questions guys and gals, see y'all out there on the proud highway, as Fred sez. Shaun

Hi Shaun - I was so thrilled to see that you check this board and answer questions! My husband and I saw you all in Grants Pass last year and I had the great experience of helping Denny prior to and after the show. It was awesome! You may remember that I "bugged" you all afterwards to sign a scrapbook page I made from the previous summer's concert where I brought my son, David, to see your show in Albany, OR. Just wanted to say I'm so sorry you won't be hitting our area this summer, but we'll catch you next time for sure! And also want to let you know that David (4yrs) is still listening to and practicing his Feat music almost daily! He's becoming pretty proficient on drums and is not too bad in mimicking Richie's drum solo on Fatman!! Man, I wish it were possible for you all to see him "perform" a Feat concert - he literally goes through every song on Waiting for Columbus and knows about 60% of the words by heart! (yes, this is a daily occurrence in our household! ;D ) You guys rock and we just love that we are long time fans of a band that is so accessible to their fans! Have a great tour this summer! Tammy Grants Pass, OR

1st sincere appologies to the list ... tried to do it private but no luck ... soooo ... Hi Shaun! I wanted to see you in roanoke ... give you a lil' B'day gift & best wishes in person ... but the folks I brought to the show (while absolutely loving it) were appearently in crisis that day ... so I had to go. Did you get the CD I left with Gene? Love mr. Gene. If so what do you think? I am absolutely floored by his (Eric Lindell) voice ... and have been unable to stop wondering what You think ... cause I'm also floored by yours! I tried to buy some flowers when I found out it was your birthday ... but when the shops were all closed I imediately thought you might like my new favorite CD. Not presumptuous ... hopeful! But most importantly ... I didn't want you to think me rude ... or afraid of you or something. While I love considering myself a part of the feat family ... I do try not to be 'in the bands face' too much after a show. I have never met more aproachable artists ... but I know you all are tired when everyone wants to talk to you. Hope this has made Some sense! 8*) Hope all is well, w/ love & gratitude, Todd Work like nobody's watching Love like you're not getting paid Dance like you've never been hurt littlefeat.net/bluemountainartists.com/tinyurl.com/38vox

Hello Shaun, I've caught the band's shows in Minnesota in recent years (a couple times at the zoo near Minneapolis, and then once in Red Wing back around 1997 I think), and prior to that as well before you were with the band. The greatest thing about Little Feat has been its ability to evolve through the years when fine tuning has been required with regard to the band's line-up. You've been a wonderful addition! I do have a question On the Chinese Work Songs CD I have been unable to find a credit as to who does lead vocals on "Gimme a Stone". I've been very curious about that. Could you help me out with an answer to that? I love the new CD, Kickin it at the Barn! The band and the material just keep getting better and better. But I hope we'll be hearing more from you on lead vocals on future studio releases. Hope to catch your show either in Clear Lake (at the Surf Ballroom) or at the Minnesota State Fair. Thanks for any response with regard to my above question And thanks for years of great music! - chadgumbo
