MG Wrote: Still a wonderful time with so many dear friends in the jamaican night... Rollin Mark Adds: The amended setlist was: Time loves a hero Day or night spanish moon skin it back>day at the dog races blues dont tell it all E: Dixie chicken with a ton of fixins The segue from Skin it back>Day at the Dog Races was new (to me at least). I asked KOAT after the show and he couldn't recall them doing that before either. Even though the Full band concert was shortened by the rain, it still was a day filled with music. The Blues Brunch was over the top with Billy doing cuts from Cielo Norte, then following up with: The Wind cries Mary Can't Find my way home Feels Like Rain After the Blues Brunch, Mac & Company got on stage and and did a great job entertaining us for a while. Later Richie did his drum clinic (followed by birthday cake!) And finally, the "shortened" concert. No complaints here. Rollin' Mark

Just for grins, here's what we played at the little jam after Billy, Fred, Paul, Piero, Ron and Shaun played. Immense thanks to Howard, Rocky, Kenny and Denny for assisting us with PA and backline:
Blue Moon of Kentucky (lead vocal - Darcy F) Southern Cross (lv - Darcy) Brown Eyed Girl (lv - Skip Woolwine) I'm Almost Ready (lv - Darcy) South's Gonna Do It Again (lv - Jim F; fiddle - Jim) Piece o' My Heart (lv - Darcy, of course!) I Got A Line On You, with Pinball Wizard tease intro (lv - Skip W) I Love You Period (lv - Darcy)
short break Jamaican Skies (lv - Mark "Shred" Whelan) This was written by Shred after one of the Feat Fan Excursions.
Band members: Darcy Fangman - bass, vocals Jim Fangman - Fender Squier guitar, fiddle, vocals Skip Woolwine - 12 string Rickenbacher, vocals Mac Davis - drums Shred - acoustic guitar, vocals
All weekend long there was great jamming around the resort, usually late at night at or near the Timber House. I hope someone took pictures.
Looks like we'll see you there next year second weekend. We may try a couple nights off campus in Negril before descending on GLN.
respect, mon Mac

We stayed right by thge timber house first weekend through wednesday. The more I hear, the more I wish we had stayed all week.
I also get the feeling that there were more people at the resort second weekend. Can someone provide attendance numbers fro the week?

have to say i enjoyed the featfans show very much; it can't be easy to play after shaun and bill ... but it was not at all like listening to that poor lad who tried to play the farbar after last years featshows...you hadda be there!
i was surprised by how many people i didn't know the second weekend. find that i am more drawn to featcamp for hanging out with the featfans almost more than hearing the band....

Hoys all, This is just a quick note to answer all of your E-mails about the song that we played after the music brunch on the second weekend. “Jamaican Skies” is an original I wrote at last year’s excursion, it’s about hangin’ out in Negril with the Feat. It’s available for free download here… www.wildsteed.com/NEB07F%7e1.MP3 or at www.wildsteed.com Shred

Shred, we enjoyed playing with you, sorry about the confusion on stage. Jim, Darcy and Skip really had your song down well, I thought, and you lead us right through it, so it came off great!
Take care Mac
