;D.....we're now booked for the 2nd weekend!!!! ;D I tried last year, but was too late and the only rooms available were on the "au naturel" side....and for us this is a pretty major expenditure. Two things made it click together this year. First was the herbal photo posted recently on another thread. So thanks, Hank, for touching my wife's heart with that enticing picture!! I would like to know.....is it legal there or just unenforced?? The other factor.....on January 2nd, 1981 I met my wife and we married 10 months later.....so we're regarding this as our silver anniversary celebration!!! Now farmgirl is surfing the net daily to find out more about Jamaica and we're counting the days to go....62!! As we say on the farm.........YEEEEEEE HAAAAAAA!!!! ;D

Two things made it click together this year. First was the herbal photo posted recently on another thread. So thanks, Hank, for touching my wife's heart with that enticing picture!! I would like to know.....is it legal there or just unenforced?? maybe I should contact the tourist board in Jamaica and charge a consultant's fee ... seriously, the herbal side of life in Jamaica is plentiful, and nearly all the resort staff is willing to supply whatever you need. I don't know exactly how open you can be ...if it's cool to fire one up while sitting at the bar ... but certainly on your patio, at the beach, in your room. take your lead from others who have been there before. however, don't[/b] go off the resort property in search of the local agriculture. a blind eye is turned when you're on private property (like Negril) but the local coppers will bust your ass in a heartbeat if you're out among the natives. in fact, even a shopping trip off the resort should be to the main streets of the nearest city/large town; stay out of the rural community. if you do want to go to a place like 9 Mile (Marley's resting place), use a registered taxi driver and keep your money and smoking habits to yourself! trust me, I know ...

Farmboy, you'll figure it all out. Within the resort area, follow others leads. Outside the resort, by a nun. The au natural side is not a big deal - it's clothing optional and most wear clothes except maybe at the pool area. One thing we like to do (Nancy and Jim Schaughency) is to walk the beach about a mile or so along the other resort beaches. To out right is Sandals (I think), Riu Jamaica and another one before the beach thins out. There's some interesting "scenery" at places along that walk. Those Europeans like their bods! The minute you get home, you'll start saving for next year. If you want to save money AND have a great time, don't leave the Grand Lido. It's ALL there. Later.

Sorry for all the typos. It just makes the meaning a puzzle for y'all to cipher.
